“Do you ever just have one of those days? Well, recently, I adopted a tiny teacup chihuahua named Huarache. Beautiful traditional Mexican name--problem is, I can barely pronounce it. So naturally, I changed it to Flautas. (Because priorities, right?) ANYWAYS, LOL, this sweet girl is not housebroken, and long story short, she turned my gorgeous white wool Moroccan rug into what can only be described as a yellow polka-dotted crime scene. Aside from the visual carnage, it started to smell like a West Hollywood alley at 3 a.m. I did everything I could to save the rug, but apparently, lil' Flautas is dehydrated because her neon yellow stains laughed in the face of my Bissell. I was furious! To make matters worse, in an unrelated but equally tragic event, my partner and I got into it, and somehow, I ended up with a bloody nose--which I promptly bled all over the rug. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, my friend Chrissy showed up, fresh off her own adventure, tracking in mud from her Crocs. The rug was officially done. With nowhere left to turn, I called Rug Ideas. They were like, "Bring it on down! We can handle pee, blood, and Crocs mud." So I did. Fast forward a month, and I just picked it up. “We called Go Eco Restoration after having water dripping through the light fixture in our laundry room. After a plumber came and did his assessment, it was determined we needed to file a claim with our insurance and get help from a restoration company. We talked to Jason and he agreed they would come out that next morning. Sam showed up the next day on time and eager to help! Go Eco Restoration was very helpful and reassuring through the entire process. They determined that we would have to remove the ceiling and wall of our laundry room, as well as the cabinets and the wall in our garage. Their crew was very efficient and professional, as they came and boxed everything up and proceeded with the demo. They found the source of the water, a busted copper main line. They had to also tear out the bathroom vanity in my children's bathroom upstairs. They left fans and blowers to dry out the area for a few days. Jason and Sam were so helpful in dealing with the insurance company. They made themselves available through the whole process and even connected me with a contractor to rebuild.
