Our long- time friend and successful Bay Area Real Estate Agent, who always knows the best tradesmen to use, recommended Security Roofing, telling us to call the owner Bob, when we realized we had some roof leaks. Bob was wonderful to work with. He offered to personally come and temporarily seal roof leaks, when heavy rain was coming before our date for the roof replacement. And he noticed some dry-rot/termite damage and efficiently fixed it at very little added cost. His crew were very organized, and there was not a trace of debris anywhere on the property after each day. He also replaced the gutters and painted them for us before installation. His workmanship was perfect, his pricing very reasonable, and he was so nice to work with. If you need a new roof, be sure to contact Bob at Security Roofing.“

“We are so happy with our roof(s) that were completed by the Above All Roofing Company. (Had both our main house and garage roofs replaced). They are very thorough in their work and have high standards. The owner “Emile” has been in the roofing business for many years and is very knowledgeable. He has specialty certification in the roofing business. The owner and his receptionist “Maia” were very communicative throughout the entire process from the initial estimate to completion. We appreciated this very much as communication is very important. The team who did the tear down and re-roofing were very skilled and efficient. Leonel, the foreman, was very thorough and constantly kept in touch with Emile the owner if there were any questions or additional work to be performed. Unfortunately, we had a significant amount of extra work to be performed due to some damaged areas, so this added to the original estimate, however it was always discussed with us prior, so we knew what to expect. We also had our gutters and downspouts replaced. The team who did the replacement was also very good. They were able to salvage some newer downspouts we had added recently and that eliminated some additional charges.
The owner stands by his work and will return for any issues with the roof and its components (roofing paper, shingles, flashing, vents, repairs, etc). Additionally, the company will perform a roof and gutter cleaning within a year or so of the initial roof replacement. Joe detected what the problem was, ordered the part and later found out it was going to take a few days to get here. “Allan's team did a fantastic job installing their lightweight Slate 2 system. After 2 years it still looks great, and I expect it to last another 50. They really showed high level craftsmanship in all their custom fitted copper installations, including large rounded roof and dormer sections, oversized flashings, along with gutters and downspouts of course. “Alex Soto and Zenith Roofers are A++ and came to our rescue to resolve a time-pressured emergency. Beware homeowners... insurance companies in CA are reviewing roofs using aerial photography and even a shadow in a photo is enough for them to suspect that your roof is faulty and put you into a "non-renewal" status... meaning your policy is going to get cancelled unless you get a licensed roofer to inspect and write a report determining your roof to be in good shape. A little panic on our end because our roof is in good shape/no leaks, and we couldn't quite be sure what would satisfy the insurer, and we didn't want to have to redo the whole roof. Of all the local roofing companies we reached out to (who actually called us back...), Zenith came to assess our situation within the week, promptly gave us a bid and detailed scope of suggested work, AND said they could quickly fit our small job into their busy schedule. Alex understood the assignment!! Other roofers couldn't guarantee a date to schedule the work for months ahead, and the clock was ticking. “I really enjoyed my experience with Century Roof and Solar. Their team was professional, prompt and knowledgeable. The workmanship was outstanding.

Tony came out to do the initial site visit and go over all the options. He explained things enough for me to make an informed decision. He didn’t hard sell any upgrades that didn’t make sense.

After his visit I received a proposal with all the different options, and costs for each, clearly outlined. This saved some confusion when the office staffed noticed an omission a few days after we agreed on a scope of work and a price. Because their proposal outlined all the options I could clearly see the clerical error that resulted in the mistake. We adjusted the proposal and moved forward. They were clear about their schedule and let me know when they would be available to start.

They were very accommodating when I needed to change the schedule to due to a conflict with another project. When the start date finally arrived the crew showed up ready to work.

They were very considerate of our extensive garden and I’m really glad they had all those young backs to haul all the debris up the three flights of stairs and the new material down those same stairs.

I hopped up on the roof myself once or twice a day. Both to check on workmanship and to discuss issues that Pedro, the foreman, discovered. Dry rot, missing trim, and missing sheathing. All additional work was clearly explained, fairly priced, and nicely executed.

The end result is a roof I feel very confident will last another 30-40 years.
