“Brian gave me an excellent exercise regime and guided me through a difficult recovery period. He gave me superb advice on how to reduce my pain and techniques to avoid it coming back. I'm grateful for his services and definitely recommend him to others seeking high quality PT assistance and guidance.“
“Jessica was absolutely wonderful with our preschool kid, who had surgery on the leg and needed help walking.“
“Katie is an excellent physical therapist - I have gone to see her for various injuries and pain (lower back, neck, foot, etc.) and she has helped me tremendously. She is highly knowledgeable and effective at finding and treating the underlying root cause of pain/dysfunction. She also teaches good movement patterns and records helpful videos of me doing the home exercises (so I remember how to do them!) in order to maintain improved function in day to day life. I highly recommend seeing her to move and feel better!“
“Carol Ludwig is probably the best physical therapist I’ve ever had. After being in an auto accident and having head neck and back injuries, Carol has helped me with my posture and has given me exercises to do at home which have have both helped relieve a lot of the pain.“
“I have been working with Wendy for a right shoulder injury, and I have been well cared for. I (being Irish) tease Wendy about how much a slave driver she is in making me do my rehab exercises. It is apparent just how much the entire staff and especially the therapists care about anyone who comes through the doors here. I unreservedly recommend this firm if you ever need physical therapy.“
“A year ago I was in an accident & had 2 cracked ribs. When I went to physical therapy, I was only receiving electrotherapy but I was really looking for therapy to help me get back to my weight training. When I asked the therapist when I could get back to weight training, he made it seem like it was months away. While at the PT office, I noticed a flyer for APE at the front desk. Since I could barely move my right arm away from my body, I started taking classes with the seniors in hopes to not lose mobility from just sitting while trying to recover. Even though I was probably half the age of the seniors, I started joining the senior class so I could stretch & get back to using weights. A few weeks later I was able to take a general conditioning class which required me to get on a mat & roll on my injured side. In a little over a month I was able to take a Level II Circuit class using heavier weight. My recovery progressed SO much further from exercise when I was barely getting relief from physical therapy or a chiropractor. Thanks to Scott who encouraged me to start taking classes after my injury! I never thought when I was starting with 1 lb dumbbells that in less than 2 months I would be using 20 lbs. Now I am back to lifting 200 lbs on a good day!“
“I was diagnosed with Thoracic outlet syndrome which caused immobility and nerve pain through my right arm. Julia has been extremely helpful in working with me and has knowledgeable approaches for each step of my healing process. Prior to meeting with her I was unable to lift my arm above my head and now I am back to exercising and have returned to work!“
“My son broke his left tibia and had a distal fracture. After two lessons he starts to walk without cratches. All the staff is very kind and patient. Thank you guys for quickly appointing rehabilitation and doing your job perfectly.“
“I decided to sign up for a half marathon this November, so I reached out to Dr. Drew Vercellino to help me with a running program for my upcoming race. Dr. Drew took the initiative to provide me with a plan that worked best with my work schedule and helped me make changes when I couldn’t follow the plan 100%. He also helped me with a strength training program to do throughout my running program that fit nicely into the lighter running days. He really made my training easy by listening to my needs and making suggestions. I will definitely be reaching out for more training programs in the future.“
“Review specifically for the Hospital, and not the in-room food service: Not knowing what to expect when it comes to having a newborn, I'm so glad Stanford LPCH was the spot. All of the nurses and doctors were so attentive and kind from induction to C-section to post-partum and release. As a visitor, I appreciated the bench in L&D and the couch in post-partum, as I've heard other friends at other spots were relegated to a recliner. The craziest experience for me was being rushed to the O.R. after our little one was decel-ing, but the nurses and doctors assured me they'd take care of packing up our personal belongings, and when we got to the O.R., the anesthetician did a wonderful job of calming us down by informing us what was happening, and even played some Studio Ghibli music for us during the C-Section. Really can't thank the staff enough for ensuring both my wife and little one were cared for and are healthy!“
“My mom recently sustained a pelvic fracture (basically the butt bone from a fall-I told her there is a new meaning to a pain in the butt!). It is quite a painful type of fracture actually. She had a great stay at Sutter Mills Peninsula on the orthopedic floor. Every staff member we met was wonderful. People helped us that weren't even assigned to her and with a friendly smile. Even the manager (I believe her name was Pat Jones-forgive me, if I get it wrong, I am doing it from a poor memory as it is and didn't get a chance to write the names down). Anyways, she is the manager on the orthopedic floor and she even came into help me move my mom to the bed. Many managers won't even do this calling for help, but she was right in there helping and explaining things about pelvic fractures, the lift devices, etc. She was amazing. It was a great, cohesive team all working with each other that I observed throughout the stay from CNAs, nurses, case manager, etc. Also noted that the floor was very calm which was peaceful and nice. I have been around many hospitals and many are chaotic, not peaceful, busy and this was very nice. I am sure they were busy but when they were with you, our nurses were very attentive to my mom. All the nurses that were assigned to her were wonderful, capable and had a good bedside manner. I am sorry I did not get every nurse's name, but Marilyn was her day nurse and I think there was a Gina (not sure, but I think I remember that name on the board). Hope the hospital looks up their names on the days my mom was there and give them kudos from us and let them know they are on Yelp! THANK YOU for as pleasant a stay that we could have given a fractured pelvis! And I am in the medical field, so I know good care when I see it as I come from the best facility (albeit retired early) ;)!“
