“I had a total hip replacement surgery a couple of months ago, and is finally able to go to outpatient physical therapy. When I started looking for a therapist, I just wanted someone close by and have plenty of parking space. When I went to my first appointment I was very pleased with the place. It was spacious, well-lighted, clean with a lot of equipments and exercise benches. My therapist, Daphne, is young but knows what she's doing. She is very professional and respectful. Glad I was able to find this place to help me on my road to recovery.“

Martha Mattox Physical Therapists

“I came under the care of Marty Mattox after I broke a bone in my foot. I wanted to get back to training for marathons as soon as possible without the risk of reinjuring myself. The entire staff was great, from the people booking the appointment to checking me in to the support therapists that took me through exercises. Marty herself was very knowledgeable, extremely experienced, including with athletes and got me back to being me. On to the Chicago Marathon for me.“

“I suffered two tibial plateau fractures and so was non-weight bearing for months. The recovery was difficult because of leg and feet atrophy. Four 4 months straight Joey took me through all the steps to recovery. Extremely knowledgable, convivial, empathetic and appropriately forceful, Joey is the best. I am back to biking and hiking. If you want to recover and be like you were, you should call Joey.“

“Maral has helped change my life. I came to her from multiple PTs at kaiser and even two out of pocket PT’s.My past 2 years plus of PT experience left me traumatized, unmotivated, and helpless and somehow I left worse then when I started. Maral listened to me and adapted my body needs. We discovered early on that I was hyper mobile, but after a while, Kylie suggested that I might have EDS. They put me on a very slow regime which was so welcomed after my previous experiences. Past Pt’s would push me past my hypermobility and try to get me in heavy weights as fast as possible, but that left me damaged with horrible sciatica.Maral never pushed me to do exercises that were causing me pain and instead helped find creative ways to adjust programs and exercises. She has been patient and really validating if I tell her something isn’t working. This was the first time I encountered a PT that encouraged me to speak up if something isn’t working and allowed me to feel comfortable doing so without shame or making me feel like I’m being too demanding or I’m not doing something correctly. Simply put, I finally felt like I had a say in my health and it was a partnership between a PT and patient, not just a clinician handing me a spreadsheet and sending me on my way.Fast forward almost a year later and I am doing way better and am way more functional than I have been in a long time. I will of course need PT for the foreseeable future as I have hEDS, but I am so happy I found a dedicated and empathetic PT that is Maral. Her gentle nature and support through my tumultuous health journey has really changed my life for the better. I have had about 6 PTs so I hope you can take my word when I say that Maral is awesome :)“

“Had really bad neck strain from working from home and could barely bend my head over to my shoulder. In a couple sessions of soft tissue work, I've regained full mobility of my neck and feel so much better. Highly recommend seeing George!“

“I found them at the recommendation of a friend and initially came in with a calf injury and later came back for wrist pain as well. The team was extremely competent and helpful and I was able to graduate from therapy and get back to tennis and biking. I mostly worked with Micheline, Ronin, and Celine, and also briefly worked with Megan and Karlo. I wouldn't normally consider physical therapy to be a fun activity per se but I actually had a great time hanging out with the team every week.“

“I have been implementing the tools and techniques with my now 9 week old since week 1 and the results are amazing. At 9 weeks she’s able to roll over onto her back while doing tummy time (both right and left side), her leg strength is amazing and because of her strength she’s now able to scoot on her own (I know she’ll be crawling soon). In addition, the videos and templates they provide for each month’s milestones are soooo helpful to make sure we stay on track and keep up with all her developmental milestones and benchmarks.Highly recommend!“

“James is the man! I saw James due to some severe lower back pain. He is no nonsense and got right to the point. He diagnosed my issue very quickly and gave me some exercises to perform at home. I saw him three times over the course of 3 weeks and that was all it took. He doesn't try to upsell or try to get you coming back for anything longer than it takes to get your ailment cured. His methods were based on fundamentals. I found James to be very nice and to the point. Go see James he will take care of you and get you back on your feet! Scott“

Karen A. Shaneyfelt, PT Physical Therapists

“I'm kinda shocked that I hadn't already written a rave review long ago. I guess I assumed I had, but now I get to rave over 23 years and multiple injuries, surgeries, and recoveries. Starting after the 19 spine procedures with a prognosis of paralysis by 2007; nope! And yes, still doing Karen's exercises today. Then a torn bicep tendon reattached 12 years ago, and with Karen's brilliant work, 100% strength and extension. Then in 2019 I tore multiple tendons, muscles, and ligaments in my shoulder in a skating accident. Completely re-built shoulder in surgery. Once again, Karen helped me regain strength and mobility and today (at 64yrs of age) I'm doing 45 pushups and 10 pull-ups in an "L" along with my Physical Therapy exercises. Karen is an absolute genius when it comes to Physical therapy.“

“I have been working with Wendy for a right shoulder injury, and I have been well cared for. I (being Irish) tease Wendy about how much a slave driver she is in making me do my rehab exercises. It is apparent just how much the entire staff and especially the therapists care about anyone who comes through the doors here. I unreservedly recommend this firm if you ever need physical therapy.“

“Our four year old son went to Silver Dragon for about six months. He had a blast. The teachers are super supportive and really do a great job. They help kids improve their focus and attention but maintain a very fun atmosphere. The only reason my son stopped going was because my wife and I needed to work later and could not get our son to the classes in time. It is a good financial deal too. A very reasonable flat fee for as many lessons per month as they want to do.“

Elizabeth Scarpelli, PT Physical Therapists

“Scarpelli & Associates provide highly skilled and individualized care. Unlike some places, you won't be seen by a less experienced PT assistant for your care, only by very experienced and knowledgeable PTs who will assess your specific needs. All of the PTs are experts in manual therapy, which is so critical for regaining function (in conjunction with a specially tailored home exercise program). I have been to places where you just feel like the next person in an assembly line given the same treatment as everyone else whether or not it's what your body needs. That doesn't happen here. Also, the front desk staff are always very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!“

“Dr. Chan is awesome, he is attentive, thorough and the best PT I’ve been to in SF. The office is really nice once you’re inside - go down the hall and up the second floor. Super knowledgeable with the care he gave and made sure to follow up with me afterwards. He also did massage which was great. I actually left walking a bit better than before. Front desk and payment/insurance was easy. Some of these other reviews are really incorrect, don’t miss out on this great PT!“

Orthopedic Physical Therapy And Wellness Inc. Physical Therapists

“This place is great! Everyone is very knowledgeable and understanding, was easy to make appointments. I had an ongoing knee/hip/ankle pain, they used massage, estim and strength training to get me back on my feet, very grateful for their help. The only drawback was parking, but you could bike, bus or taxi, a big plus is getting food in the mission when you’re done.“
