“My mom used Alphacare's physical therapist and RN services. The staff were friendly and professional. Most important, they were able to provide services in Cantonese for my mom.“
“Dr. Wong is phenomenal! I saw him after I had a hip replacement. He is a PT but was previously a massage therapist. He does a great mix of PT exercises and massage. He is helping me get back to walking without a limp and running again! I highly recommend Dr. Wong.“
“I have lived with hip pain for many years and, as an athlete and health care provider, assumed I kind of understood that this resulted from an old injury to my back that had set me up for permanent compensatory problems in the hip. Or, maybe I had arthritis in my hip and needed a hip replacement. Well, what a surprise I got from my virtual consult with Jeff. He listened carefully to my history of living with these issues, taking notes and asking clarifying questions, then coached me how to use my laptop to show him various maneuvers. The result: a radically better and more nuanced understanding of my problem. It turns out I have weakness in that hip, and that some exercises he showed me will help to resolve this. No hip replacement on my horizon now! I have hope that I will be able to recover motions I had resigned myself to losing, and that my pain will improve. Moreover, he showed me an amazing graphic of the many, many, many other things that impact low back pain besides just issues of muscles and joints, helping me understand that holistically taking care of myself with sleep, stress management, nutrition, positive relationships and such, will also help care for the pains I have. I'm so excited! After decades of living in pain, I feel like I've learned a whole new way of understanding myself and living in my body. Jeff is kind of a holistic movement therapist, analyzing pains in a person's bendy bits through the lens of their whole self. Hands down, the best physical therapist I've ever had!“
“Jess (Dr. Fu) is amazing. She cultivates such a caring and warm environment in her practice. I started seeing Jess at Healthy Pelvis in my 3rd trimester and continued to meet her for another 6 months postpartum. Jess was able to address my various issues during this period of intense physiological change.10/10 recommend!“
“I am so fortunate to have the expert, compassionate care of Dr Ashton, who is insightful and precise in her analysis of health problems. She and her team take the time to welcome, support and provide great service for me in person and in every type of contact.“
“I had the pleasure of working with an incredible personal trainer, Tayo, for almost two years, and he helped me get in the best shape and version of myself for my wedding. I had gained weight during covid in 2020 and he helped me lose the weight, gain muscle, confidence, feel the best version of myself and getting in the best shape of my life. Tayo was very committed to my success. Tayo's passion for his work was evident in every session we had together. He wasn't just a trainer, he was a motivator, a mentor, and a genuine cheerleader throughout my fitness journey. Has positive energy encouragement pushed me beyond my limits, and I found myself achieving milestones. What sets Tayo apart is his genuine care for his clients. He wasn't just interested in the numbers on the scale, but he actually cared about my overall well-being and confidence. His attention to detail and ability to tailor workouts to my strengths and weaknesses made each session challenging yet incredibly rewarding. I love the feeling I get after I have a good workout with Tayo. All the trainers and staff at fitSF are incredible and know what they are doing. You can tell by seeing how happy their clients are at the gym. My wedding day wouldn't have been the same without training at FitSF studio for the big day and I'm forever grateful for the positive impact Tayo and FitSF studio had on my life. They are truly amazing people. I'm no longer working out but I miss seeing Tayo, John and some of their regular clients and trainers there!“
“Update! I continue to go to this studio 2 to 3 times a week. I am noticeably stronger in my core. And, most amazingly, my back pain that I have had for literally decades is almost entirely gone. This studio is fabulous!“
“My dad received support service from HealthFlex Home Health the last week of December 2023 through the first week of February 2024. Overall, we were very happy with the service. All staff that were assigned to support my dad were good, especially Suhyoung Kim. She was an excellent nurse, patient and compassionate. Most importantly, she always followed up and followed through with what she said she would do. We are really grateful for her service!“
“I'm happy to update my review and give Agile 5 stars for their excellent service and care. After I posted my initial review, I was contacted by Katie, the business manager, who apologized for the billing confusion and offered to work with me to find a solution. My son is back at Agile PT seeing Bianca and making great progress. Thank you, Katie, Bianca, and Agile for your outstanding service and support!“
“After several weeks of PT and OT in a Rehab facility, I was discharged to continue therapy at home. ANX Home Healthcare started home visits in less than a week. From late November, 2023, until the end of March, 2024, I got weekly therapy sessions with Erika for Physical Therapy and with Danielle for Occupational Therapy. In many ways my house presented problems that seemed insurmountable because of my limited mobility. With Erika's help, my strength, endurance, and flexibility have improved, and I am safer and more secure walking into my shower and getting on and off my elliptical BioStep. Danielle's suggestions resulted in raising the levels of seating and safer movement throughout the house, and improving my posture and positioning. Thanks to both of their instructions, supervision, and encouragement, I am better equipped to fully live in a house that was not built with mobility or balance disabilities in mind.“
“For me to write a review. 2 Things have to happen. 1.) I have to get along & like that person. 2.) that person better do their job well. Extremely well. Or I am not wasting my time. That said, after my bad cop intro. I am very glad that I chose George Haras for my physical therapy, after AC Joint Separation Surgery, after I snapped the 3 ligaments holding my clavicle to my shoulder blade. Without the surgery, I could not get back and do the things that I love. Like swim a mile in Aquatic Park, swim at Sava Pool. Or any of the other physical activities that I enjoy doing. So I take my rehab, after any sports injury, seriously. I am glad that I chose George after shopping around. Unlike other PT places in the Sunset, where you are treated like a number & herded like cattle; George takes the time and effort to make sure you are getting the right care inside of the time that you meet with him, and outside as well, with informative recap emails, of stretches, exercises, etc. Knowledgeable, kind, and a good teacher. The PT massages that George performed to my shoulder did wonders to working out the pain. Increasing blood flow. And helping with range of motion. I would recommend George to family & friends. A true professional.“
“Maral has helped change my life. I came to her from multiple PTs at kaiser and even two out of pocket PT’s.My past 2 years plus of PT experience left me traumatized, unmotivated, and helpless and somehow I left worse then when I started. Maral listened to me and adapted my body needs. We discovered early on that I was hyper mobile, but after a while, Kylie suggested that I might have EDS. They put me on a very slow regime which was so welcomed after my previous experiences. Past Pt’s would push me past my hypermobility and try to get me in heavy weights as fast as possible, but that left me damaged with horrible sciatica.Maral never pushed me to do exercises that were causing me pain and instead helped find creative ways to adjust programs and exercises. She has been patient and really validating if I tell her something isn’t working. This was the first time I encountered a PT that encouraged me to speak up if something isn’t working and allowed me to feel comfortable doing so without shame or making me feel like I’m being too demanding or I’m not doing something correctly. Simply put, I finally felt like I had a say in my health and it was a partnership between a PT and patient, not just a clinician handing me a spreadsheet and sending me on my way.Fast forward almost a year later and I am doing way better and am way more functional than I have been in a long time. I will of course need PT for the foreseeable future as I have hEDS, but I am so happy I found a dedicated and empathetic PT that is Maral. Her gentle nature and support through my tumultuous health journey has really changed my life for the better. I have had about 6 PTs so I hope you can take my word when I say that Maral is awesome :)“
“Dr. Philip is an excellent chiropractor and very helpful in understanding concerns and treating patients. Will get results in first visits and very affordable“
“I have been implementing the tools and techniques with my now 9 week old since week 1 and the results are amazing. At 9 weeks she’s able to roll over onto her back while doing tummy time (both right and left side), her leg strength is amazing and because of her strength she’s now able to scoot on her own (I know she’ll be crawling soon). In addition, the videos and templates they provide for each month’s milestones are soooo helpful to make sure we stay on track and keep up with all her developmental milestones and benchmarks.Highly recommend!“
“Shirley has been amazing. She has helped me strengthen my core and work on proper body positioning. Each time i leave feeling accomplished and can't wait for our next appointment. I feel better during and after a long day of work thanks to her. As much as I'd like to keep her a secret she is amazing at what she does and the knowledge she gives.“
“I was recommended by my doctor to see Shah for an injury to my cervical spine. I had a whiplash injury that caused me to lose the natural curve of the spine. Shah helped through gentle manipulations to get back that curve. He was very careful with the lack of strength I had in my neck and shoulders to give me exercises that would not cause further injury. He was really great at gently moving my neck to release tension in the muscles. I had seen a physical therapist before Shah, and I had gotten worse. Shah really helped me begin to recover. I had to stop seeing him because his office was far for me to drive. And driving would exacerbate my condition. But I would not be where I am now without his help!“
“I highly recommend this place for PT. PTs and staff are very knowledgeable and professional. They are very attentive and really spend time to listen and explain the issue at the beginning and during each session on the progress. Great job!!!“
“Dr Lightner is great - I’ve been looking for a good chiropractor close to home and in just a few months he’s helped with my back pain and neck pain Hard to find chiropractors like him these days!“
“But a caveat. Regarding prescribed medication for BPH/enlarged prostate patients should do their own homework regarding side effects of meds. Specific reference is Avodart. The industry is likely to push whatever makes them the most money. Buyer beware.“
“I'm kinda shocked that I hadn't already written a rave review long ago. I guess I assumed I had, but now I get to rave over 23 years and multiple injuries, surgeries, and recoveries. Starting after the 19 spine procedures with a prognosis of paralysis by 2007; nope! And yes, still doing Karen's exercises today. Then a torn bicep tendon reattached 12 years ago, and with Karen's brilliant work, 100% strength and extension. Then in 2019 I tore multiple tendons, muscles, and ligaments in my shoulder in a skating accident. Completely re-built shoulder in surgery. Once again, Karen helped me regain strength and mobility and today (at 64yrs of age) I'm doing 45 pushups and 10 pull-ups in an "L" along with my Physical Therapy exercises. Karen is an absolute genius when it comes to Physical therapy.“
“Dr. Z is great.I’ve been going to him for years and he’s always very welcoming. Definitely a non-force chiropractorJohn treats the whole body from energy balancing, massage, reflexology realignments and even provides inserts for your shoes to make sure that your alignment is correct.I highly recommend Dr. John Zeravich.“
“Carol Ludwig is probably the best physical therapist I’ve ever had. After being in an auto accident and having head neck and back injuries, Carol has helped me with my posture and has given me exercises to do at home which have have both helped relieve a lot of the pain.“
“I have been working with Wendy for a right shoulder injury, and I have been well cared for. I (being Irish) tease Wendy about how much a slave driver she is in making me do my rehab exercises. It is apparent just how much the entire staff and especially the therapists care about anyone who comes through the doors here. I unreservedly recommend this firm if you ever need physical therapy.“
“He's not like any doctor, spine specialist, acupuncturist, masseuse, etc. He is like a mechanic for your body. He looks at you, then right away goes to all the painful trigger points with surgical precision, uncovers the ones you didn't know about, releases them all, massages all the deep muscles that are INSIDE your spine with ease, releases all the spasms or tightness that were hidden for decades, leaving you in shock and wondering why no one ever pointed them out. In only two sessions he already did more for my spine than all the doctors, spine specialists, acupuncturists, masseuses I have seen for decades, combined. He looks at your whole body instead of treating every symptom separately, which should be an obvious approach but apparently so rare. If you're looking for a relaxing massage, look somewhere else. If you want to fix your pain, no matter how old it is, he is your guy.“
