“Until now, I’ve always hated going to the dentist. New to this dental office, and could not have made a better choice. They care about their patients and it shows. The reception area, waiting area, dental exam rooms and the bathroom are very clean and neat. EVERYONE of the staff members I had the pleasure of coming in contact were professional and inviting! The dental hygienist had a soft touch and was very attentive. I am not going to mention my dentist by name because I don’t want everyone reading this to request him, thus making him unavailable to me, but what I will say is that he is warm and personable and explained everything to me in terms that I could understand , he was honest and genuine, he didn’t rush and make me feel like I was just $$. I felt no pain during my first procedure and left after my feeling satisfied ( and numb) but as excited as I could be about going back for my next appointment.“

“I was having a serious tooth problem and my dentist was telling me things that didn't make sense to me and sounded like he was contradicting himself and also contradicting everything I knew about antibiotics, so I needed a 2nd opinion from another dentist. Dr. Rosales listened to me and then took a lot of time to explain things very clearly and in great detail which helped me greatly to 1) understand what was happening in my mouth and 2) what I should do, and even 3) helped me understand what my other dentist was trying to explain, but just couldn't explain things nearly as well as Dr. Rosales did. Besides that, his receptionists were very sweet and helpful, and the set-up at his office seemed very state-of-the-art, and comfortable with windows looking out on outdoor trees and plants and a tv to watch to distract you from dental work if it makes you anxious. Based on just this one visit (and everything I read on Yelp and on his website) I am very positively impressed with Dr. Rosales and expect to see him again in the future.“

“I could not ask for more in a dentist with Dr. Alex Chaney. His novacaine shots don't hurt! In my decades of dental care, he is the first dentist that gives practically painless shots. He is very thorough in his assessment with extra emphasis on patient teaching preventative care. He made a mouth piece for me that has decreased the amount of migraine headaches. Christina their dental hygienist has excellent assessment skills and is big on encouraging patients to maintain their dental hygiene. Their new receptionist Tammy has made a seamless transition as a welcoming and efficient receptionist. She is very helpful. Shirley the nurses aide is a wonderful person whose attention to detail is sparkling. I am of mixed ethnic background and I feel very welcomed and most of all, well cared for. Vallejo has a real find in Chaney Family Dental. And you should see the wonderful engineer exhibits made by Dr. Chaney senior in the waiting room. Each exam room has real art and beautiful creations on the walls and ceilings.“

“Been coming to this office for the past 4 so years! The front office staff super friendly, in person and over the phone; I've called to see if I can go in earlier to my appt. and they were able to accommodate me; plus every appointment they send me home with a complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. Love it, gives me a nostalgic feeling since my childhood dentist did this and lot of dentist office don't give any goody bags anymore. During all my appointments they always ready to assist me, never a long wait plus free wifi (password comes on their lobby TV) During my cleanings the dental hygienists are nice and love how they don't make it awkward, they tell me every step they will be doing. I'll always go with Dr. Gretchen“

“Dr. Carole Miyohara goes 1,000% above and beyond, and has done so for all three of our kids for over 15 years. She is by far our favorite dentist and health care provider. She is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and gives the aloha spirit with her beautiful welcoming smile and demeanor. Our youngest son has special needs so she sees him when the office is quiet and there are no other distractions. She is so amazing with her gentle care and gracious heart. We appreciate her so much, and the whole office staff too!!!“

“I love Dr. Nick and his entire practice team... and more importantly, my son (now 9) does, too! Dr. Nick has handled all of our dental issues, big and small, with thoughtful, conscientious care and expertise. He makes kids feel welcome and comfortable immediately, from the physical office (the X-ray set-up makes the kids feel like they are riding a pony - so fun!) to the friendly staff. He balances professionalism (the office is always on time) with personal attention and care. I can't recommend Dr. Nick enough! My son even asked if he could invite Dr. Nick to his birthday party!“

After explaining my experience with my previous dentist's office staff, she reassured me that I would not run into the same issues here. As for Dr. Oliver, he is chattier than most dentists I've met/seen but in a good way. He's laid back and relatable, is straight forward on the treatment plan of your teeth.“

“Highly skilled dentists, hygienists,, latest tech, and office staff that are professional and friendly. Conveniently located just off Solano ave.. Feels more like a visit to a Berkeley home of old friends vs.a sterile office.setting. Relaxed chill atmosphere that totally takes the stress out of going to the dentist. They stay on schedule, too, so I rarely get to read the magazines I enjoy, that are current issues, or have time for a cup of herbal tea.

“Come for the caring, knowlegeable Dr. Lawson, and stay for the masterful, gentle artistry that is Bianca's work as a gem of a hygienist! Bianca always does prolific work, and she clearly enjoys her work. I've experienced hygienists who are too nervous, bitter, or heavy handed at other practices, and trust me, this gifted woman is none of those things. Bianca is a treasure! In fact, the office staff is friendly, and the office itself is clean, and carries an intention of cultivating wellness in our bodies and the environment. This practice is way more holistic than Total Health, which I feel should call itself Total Hustle for a number of reasons, the first if which is that it's not practicing holistic dentistry as it claims. Dr. Lawson's practice is more sincere in their ability to deliver holistic dentistry. They are also fairly straight up about pricing, so when they had to go out of network with my provider, I still stayed with them and am able to plan and manage it. The quality is worth it!“

“Dr. Ruehe is incredible. My kid was very nervous about the dentist and Dr. Ruehe & her team have made our experience so positive. They have been kind and understanding when my kid has been reluctant to participate in the appointment. They never forced him and after several visits he easily and happily goes to the dentist! The team at aloha pediatrics takes the time to explain what they are doing and lets my kid know what to expect. I highly recommend them!“

Kind of a long wait for first appointment, April, however, I called 30 mins before closing today and they said If I could make it in 15 minutes he would see me.
