“Prior to a HVAC project, we were referred to Allied Insulation to remove and vacuum the loose insulation from our attic. We contacted Allied Insulation, and they came out immediately. Their technician was also really knowledgeable, gave us a quote and day they could start. “We hired Unique Remodeling to do an entire gut renovation of our house which included knocking down walls to open up a kitchen, creating a new bedroom out of a 2nd floor den, and completely changing the layout of two bathrooms. I worked directly with Effie who was the day to day lead on the project. Overall, I am very happy with the end result for the price we paid and am giving a 5 star rating based on value, responsiveness, and honesty.Before hiring Effie and his team I got quotes from 3 contractors, Unique Remodeling wasn't the cheapest but they were much less than the most expensive. I hired Effie because it was clear that he had deep experience actually doing the work. Most other contractors walked through and said they could do everything I wanted but Effie offered very clear feedback on certain design choices that he knew would be problematic (he was right).Overall, it was a pleasure working with Effie and his team. “We contacted Mike to put a new window in one of our bedrooms. when we moved in 7 years ago, we replaced all the windows in our house. Mike was the only contractor that took the time to research the manufacturer of the windows we previously had installed to make sure we had a close to exact match to add a new window in one of our bedrooms...and he found it. it's not an exact match as things change over 7 years but it was as close as possible. Mike and his crew did such a great job, you couldn't even tell there was NOT a window there before. They cleaned up the area and even painted the interior wall that the window was installed in. We liked working with Mike so we called him back for another small job and had him install our new front door. We still have a bathroom and kitchen we want to remodel...we'll be calling him again!“
