Customer service for family health is horrible. The front desk assistant that answered the phone was so condescending and rude. I specifically got a new insurance card in the mail that states my PCP/health facility is Lassen Medical Clinic. I call to set a new patient appointment and am asked for my ID number, which I provided. The woman then states they are no longer taking new patients and I respond that I don't know where to schedule if my insurance is listed as them.. she then says hold on and places me on hold to come back to the phone and then state "We are no longer accepting new patients and your not in our system". I explain I just moved and was given this clinic by my insurance and it is on my insurance card so I'm not sure where else to go. She then proceeds to go on about "Well all I know is this is our policy and you're not in the system" having a condescending tone and giggling. As a nurse myself, I know how medical facilities run. They could have asked me to email a copy of my insurance card or they could have placed me on hold and called to confirm instead of "shooing" me away. First you say you can't take new patients then you say I'm not in the system.. be transparent. I even called my insurance to confirm and I AM able to be seen there. All of my children have lassen medical clinic as well and they showed up in the pediatric system so I find it funny I personally didn't show up. Overall, horrible customer service and lack of patient advocacy. Glad I'm not going to be a patient any longer and switched.

Hours for Acute Care on Saturday at 8-4pm. My MIL was turned away at 3:30pm because the rooms had already been sanitized. Those there this afternoon should be ashamed of themselves.

if I could give a death sign I would! this place both cottonwood and red bluff are sooo far off the scale of the true meaning of healthcare that it is a death trap! stay away from all doctors at Lassen medical group! I almost died from a myxoma in my heart that was larger than a gold ball. the doctors at Lassen did not believe me or even try to listen to me and went as far as calling me at my home to tell me that there is nothing wrong with me and I need to be checked for mental health! I could not believe it! so I changed to the red bluff location after having open heart surgery to remove the tumor found by me by the way. now the doctor in red bluff Dr Kanbar (stay away) he literally was googling things to answer me, argued with me and yelled at me to not interrupt him when he would NOT let me talk! he is a sexist, egotistical man that does not have the correct education to be a doctor. please look after yourself and know that doctors are people that we hire to aid us they don't tell us what to do with our health and most don't care, it's up to us to make the change and to take charge of our health. with love a human being from planet earth
