“This guy saved my horses life.I have a 20yr old pain mare who foundered sometime 2 years ago. I had 2 vets come out, teach telling me upon examination of the radiographs that she should be out down immediately.they didn't take quality of life into consideration at all, or anything else for that matter.Needless to say I was desperate to find someone who speaializes in severe issues of the hoof.Mark was kind, clear, sincere & kind while explaining everything that he was doing and gave me his honest opinion as to where to go next in her treatment. Looked at everything as a whole and told me he didn't think that euthanasia was necessary. Though her condition wouldn't improve due to bone loss of the p3 bone , based on her activity level and zest for life, there's no reason why her condition couldn't be managed.He put her on equioxx, gave me tips on nutrition, farrier care, bedding/footing type and lots of other advice to make sure she stays comfortable for the rest of her life.*He was pricey but I didn't expect it to be cheap.I would 100% recommend mark if you have a horse with an issue with their feet. Don't let outdated veterinary training be the demise of your horse!!Thanks Mark, you are the best!!“

“Dr. Tetter spent lots of time with us, told us his honest opinions about our dog's condition (who has terminal cancer), and suggested areas for improvement. I really appreciate the friendliness of entire staff, which is modeled by the doctors.“

“Contacted their facility when my cat began having bleeding and they were able to see us within 2 hours. I had prior called around to multiple other vet clinics and all told me no appointments until tomorrow. Not here, they saw my cat right away. Dr. Sonshi explained all the possible outcomes to us & proceeded with blood tests and X-Rays. The X-Rays revealed my cat had pyometra and it was very serious. She was scheduled the very next morning for surgery. Dr. Sondhi and his staff were very compassionate and professional. The surgery was successful and I was able to bring home my cat later that day. He even showed me pictures on an iPad of her removed uterus and ovaries. The photos proved how bad the situation was and there was definitely not a day to spare. He never made us feel very alarmed but instead wisely insisted that we take action right away. I am very grateful eternally for Dr. Sondhi and his medical team!“

“I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Gill. He is so patient and caring. Has over 30 years of experience. He very skilled at spay & neuter on small kittens and any other procedure(s) you may need him for. He will give you the situation, lay out all your options and let you decide how to proceed. Of course will give you his recommendation if you need it. His techs and staff are all very nice and helpful as well. I have been taking my Bengal kittens there for over 5 years. NEVER any issues. In my years of breeding I have only had 1 C-section. I was a mess. He even came in a bit early for it. The kitten causing the need for the C-section had already passed. The other 3 survived. I have customers that now go to him. I believe he is the best.“

“My fur baby Zico just got home from getting his Bordetella Vaccine. He has been in their care for four years now and as much as my boy is not a fan of the shots, I KNOW he's being seen by the BEST VETERINARIAN doctor and staff. They've helped us when Zico became a jet setter and because of their help he has been to the East Coast, Las Vegas and even Brasil We will return there in October and I know that all his documentation will be in order thanks to the team! “I cannot say enouth about the care, compassion and competence of the staff at Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital, particularly Dr. Doumani. I recently rented an airbandb in Del Mar, and taking my mini poodle for a walk, a large dog came out of one of the adjoining condos and began to viciously attack my poodle. He fortuanltely got away, but both he and I were seriously injured, As I did not know the area we drove to the nearest vet and sat outside until they opened. We had already called other vets who would not see us right away. My dog was wounded and bleeding! Del Mar Heights staff immediately brought us in and Dr. Doumani did surgery for our little boy. The staff at reception were so kind and soothed our trauma. My boy had to stay the entire day, and the front desk and the doctor called us throughout the day to update us on his condition. Fortunately, he recovered very well due to Dr. Doumani's care. I only wish that I lived in the area to avail myself of the excellence of this practice!“

“My girlfriend takes her dog here when she's out of town. Very friendly staff and veterinarians on site. Great place to take your pup or cats. Big selection of toys, treats, food, etc. I can't stress enough how friendly they are here every time we go. Jonny, aka "Jonny Drama," loves coming here and feels at home.“

They cared for him for approximately 8 years of his 16.5 year life. They never took advantage of conditions for unnecessary treatment, and always found solutions to help him improve his health and deal with what was unavoidable. I'm so thankful for the entire team, with their true care for him, and their very thoughtful balance of care when he was near his end of life. They truly put our pup first, while balancing our feelings as we dealt with what was difficult, but best for him. Hughie had quality of life during his care from Dr. Bone and team, and he had a truly peaceful passing as he deserved. The card that the entire staff and Dr's wrote to us was very healing, and so beautiful. They truly care. They're exceptional at what they do. “Unfortunately our German Shephard has had to come her a lot but every time we come everyone is so friendly. The doctors take great care of my dog every time we come in. Dominique at the front is so friendly. She always says high to Belle and always helps get her prescription ready. She also will answer any question you have and if she does not know the answer she will find someone that does.“

“Susan is a fantastic veterinarian. She answered all of our questions and took care of our cats so well. She is the only veterinarian that has taken the time to answer all of our questions and explain them in a way that we were able to understand. We were able to get a complete work up done and now our cat does not have to go to a veterinary clinic this year. Which he does not like to do. Susan is by far the best veterinarian I have ever worked with. We are so thankful that we found her and for the work that she did. We were concerned about a lump that we found on our cat and she biopsied it at our home and returned the results in one day and she said that she understands that the waiting can cause a lot of anxiety for owners. He had excellent people skill in addition to his animal skill :) I really appreciate the concern he showed to our pet's symptoms. The technician was also very sweet and professional. I was also very happy with the cost of the care we received today. This place should have an average of 5 stars, so I'm leaving this review here. This will be the primary care clinic for our cat.“

“I took my newly adopted rescue puppy here. While they were 30 min late, when the veterinarian finally came in, she was kind, attentive, and took her time with my puppy. I was a little irritated with the late nature of my appointment, but her kind demeanor changed my mind. I think I was the last appointment of the day, so I get it. I really liked that Dr. Johnson paid full attention to us, heard our concerns, and seemed to give us sound advice. I plan on coming back.“
