“Long overdue!! I was new to the area and desperately needed an eye doctor because if you are an eyeglasses wearer like myself, you can tell when you need new prescription! Dr. Ching is very down to earth and very nice person -- getting to know his patients and being understanding! As for optician, go to Miss Judy for any kind of help! She is THE BEST! Recently, I had a new prescription and I was effy with my new eyeglasses especially the fact that I cannot close them properly (it won't fit the eyeglass case!) so I came back and ask Miss Judy for help. She was mortified that whoever last helped me allowed me to walk away with the new eyeglasses where I cannot close them at all (I have very thick lenses!) and I appreciate how much she cared about me and my eyeglasses. I always go back for her help (she reminds me of Meryl Streep from The Devil wears Prada but very sweet and honest :) and you won't regret seeing her).“

“I am personally not a big fan of Stanton, but I broke my glasses and desperate times call for desperate measures so I opted to go to one a little further away to try it out. I was not feeling hopeful when it took 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to be seen by anyone (I was greeted and checked in as soon as I arrived so that was nice) when I finally got back to get my eye exam I was disappointed to see that it was a virtual optometrist. I am really sick of not being able to have an in person appointment. I don’t want to go out of my way to go to an appointment where the doctor doesn’t even have to do the same. Plus last time I got my eye exam done that way (through a different Stanton) they got my prescription so wrong I couldn’t even wear the glasses and had to go back and forth so many times to get my glasses right. I did the eye exam, the person doing it did not show me what the prescription looked like so I could evaluate if it was accurate and I could actually see. All over, it was really disappointing on the actual appointment/exam experience. However, I HAVE to give it 4 stars because of the staff I interacted with after my appointment. I believe she was a manager of some sort but she was absolutely delightful, she was very helpful attentive and knowledgeable. (Tynisa, I believe was her name) She helped me pick my frames and we went over all the features for the glasses I was getting.
I likely will not return to Stanton for glasses after this just because I am really put off by the video appointments, but if I’m ever between a rock and a hard place I would choose this Stanton to return to.“

“My wife and I needed our glasses adjusted, so we went to the Eye Center Optometrics store on Greenback. We were greeted warmly and told someone would help us shortly. A gentleman came out and asked us what we needed, then took both of our glasses, and came back shortly with both pair adjusted perfectly.

Everyone we spoke to were polite, and very helpful. We were on our way in less then 15 minutes and were very pleased.“

“I had my LASIK procedure 1 week ago and I could not be happier! The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. When I was considering getting LASIK, I had 3 consultations at 3 different offices around the Sacramento area. My consultation at Griffin and Reed was the only one where I actually met the doctor that day and spoke to them about my eyes, the likelihood of a successful procedure, and the possibility of complications. Dr. Maboudi immediately made me feel comfortable and confident. After I scheduled my appointment, the process was smooth and communication with office staff (scheduling appointments, getting prescriptions needed before surgery, etc.) was good. The day of the surgery was smooth and easy. As recommended, I went home after surgery and slept for most of the day. The next day I felt minimal discomfort and I could SEE BEAUTIFULLY. Prior to surgery, I had a high (-7.00) prescription and couldn't imagine functioning without corrective lenses. I could not believe I was able to drive myself to the 24 hour follow up appointment! I am so glad that I chose to have LASIK and I'm very glad I made the decision to go with Griffin and Reed. I only wish I had done it sooner!“

“One of the best optometrists in Folsom. She is honest and very thorough in eye exams and gives an accurate diagnosis of the issues. She caught issues for me including retinal tears and referred me to a specialist to fix the issue right away. I would highly recommend her for either a routine eye exam or for checking on any issues.“

The optometrist, Dr. Rebecca Bui Van, is the best optometrist I have ever run into. I have seen many optometrists over the years, and Rebecca is the friendliest, most knowledegable, most caring one that I have ever worked with. She has been able to handle many different issues for me with great solutions that often keep my corrected vision almost better than 20/20.
The two opticians that I usually work with are Ashley and Trisha. They are very friendly and very caring while being the most capable opticians that I have worked with. They use Zeiss as their optical lab, yes the same Zeiss named on many high end optical products such as camera lenses. With a superior optometrist, superior opticians, and using a great lab, they are able to fit prescriptions or lens sizes that other major chains cannot. The store environment is well appointed and comfortable.
