“I had an sub-arachnoid hemorrhage (SaH) aneurysm 6 years ago. With a .00027 chance of survival. My recovery was the result of miracle after miracle at the Sutter Hospital Stroke Unit (which happened to be in the top 3 in the nation), but then I was told the one doctor who could save my vision because of the extensive permanent peripheral damage was right across the street from the hospital.Though I know he doesn't like to hear me say this, Dr. Don Fong IS a miracle worker. Now, with the permanent damage still there, I see as good as any other person my age, can drive again, can walk again without running into everything, and I can protect myself without the aid of another when crossing streets with traffic of all kinds.Dr. Don Fong is a man of integrity. “The people here are amazing. I don't remember ever going somewhere and feeling so welcome. People here really care and do a thorough exam. Places like Stanton are not even close to this level. Makes me wish my eye sight went bad a long time ago, so I could've gone here earlier. Prices are cheaper than the chain stores. Got a set of Oakley glasses for almost half of what Stanton wanted for a lesser known brand.“

“I've been seeing Dr. Talaga for about 4 years. Usually once a year for my diabetic eye check. This year, however, I suddenly started having double vision. Dr. Talaga diagnosed me right away and explained how the situation would most likely resolve itself, but he definitely set me up with follow-ups until the condition was fixed. I find him friendly, but professional and don't plan on changing any time soon, if ever.“
