“Fred and his team helped me out with a septic job. I could not be more happy with the quality work performed by his team, they were polite, professional, and very considerate of the site. Work was done faster than expected and right on budget. Fred is a wonderful guy and very happy to have had the opportunity to meet him. Thanks Fred!!“
“These guys are A+++. Highly recommended. Will definitely have these guys out on our next project.“
“Gus and his crew at Fairplay Construction are awesome. We went through a two year saga trying to get our plans ready to build. Another local builder/designer, who will remain nameless, drew up plans that did what he said they would - get approved by the county - but they were far from complete. I had numerous questions in that process that he told me "we'll address those variables during construction". Once those plans were approved by the county, he quit taking my calls. He then told me "we're 18 months out, so I won't be quoting your project". What an A-hole. I found Gus. He spent a lot of time - billable of course, but worth every penny - working with me to revise the plans that adequately addressed key issues like elevation changes, etc. that were left "to be solved later" by the prior guy. We got the revisions approved by the county, and the rest is history. We added about 650sq feet of living space to our existing home, and added a new 388 sq ft garage bay to the existing garage. It looks friggin' awesome. The entire project flowed as outlined to both timing/schedule and projected budget. We had some cost over runs, but they were due to decisions we made about the finishes we wanted. Nobody wants to get done with a nice addition to only then say "dang, I wish we'd have done that, instead!" If you want to contact me to hear more, feel free. But, Gus and his team are awesome. And that's hard to find. Particularly in the foothills. Did I mention that we gave the original plans to about a dozen other contractors (2 or 3 at a time to not waste peoples' time) and Gus was the only guy to actually put pencil to paper with those plans, and then spend the time to educate us as to why they sucked, and work with us to come to a solution giving us what we wanted from the project for a cost we could afford? Yeah. Unbelievable how hard it was to find an honest, no-nonsense builder. Call Gus and be done. And, if you can't afford what you want to do? He'll let you know, without trying to find out your "budget" just so he can spend to your limit. He'll just tell you what it'll cost to do what you want, and if it works? Great. If not? He's willing to help you find solutions to get there. Call Gus. PS- I don't know why this thing shows us as from Mount Hope Kansas. Maybe that's where the hughesnet (yeah, sweet satellite internet here in Somerset, CA) pings from? But, we're in Somerset, CA. Right in Gus' 'hood. Did I say, call Gus? Call him for your next project. Really. Do it.“
“Great experience amazing quality in work. Really clear communication any time scheduling.“
