“After keeping my hair short for many years, I wanted to have it longer (while my hair is still growing well). Other haircuts I've had recently were ok, though they required gel & I wasn't thrilled with any of them. Trinh had good reviews, so I thought I'd go see her. It took some persistence to get in touch with her - I recommend calling her rather than booking online. Before Trinh cut my hair, she took the time to find out what I really wanted. I wanted a longer hairstyle though I didn't realize until she asked me that I didn't really like gelling my hair. She said she could cut my hair so I didn't need gel, and it would be "wash & go". For the first time, I'm happy with my longer hairstyle! Trinh's salon is clean, sunny, calm & in Montclair. And she is a nice, sweet, sunny lady.“

This review has gone unwritten for far too long…. I’ll say this though, almost 2 months later and this style has grown out in the most fantastic way, I still love it!
Not only did Universe provide an amazing and lasting cut, the entire experience was outstanding! We felt welcomed, acknowledged, and really taken care of.
I asked for a shag; my hair was not quite long enough to achieve the absolute desired style but the shape has held strong and the next cut promises to be the shag of my dreams!!
My wife also received a cut, she has long, curly hair- I honestly don’t think that I’ve seen a more flattering cut on her, she loves it!!
One final and important thing to mention- we will be forever grateful to Universe for showing us a kindness during a very difficult time (which is partially the reason why it has taken me so long to get around to writing this). Our beautiful elder dog was quite sick at the time of the appointment so we asked if we could bring her with us; there was no hesitation on their part in graciously welcoming our pup to the shop, it meant the world to us, and the icing is that our 16 year old dog is doing really well!“

She really took the time to check on my hair throughout the bleaching process (my hair is fine and curly so I was so grateful it wasn’t over processed) and the blending was insane! She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for years, and now cuts my daughter and son's hair as well. After a visit to her salon, I often get asked who cuts my hair or who colors my hair. She is very selective about the products she uses, so you can trust that they are safe, including the straightening/relaxing treatment she uses. She is genuine and caring. “I was referred to Vee by my bestfriend Machelle. I showed Vee some pictures , I wanted to perm my hair. I came in but my hair was unfortunately too short and she told me to come back when it gets a bit longer. Which at that point she wanted to make sure it came out to how I wanted it. “I highly recommend Sabita for haircuts! I have a very technical short bob with bangs and she nails it every time. It is not an easy cut to do, especially with my cowlicks. It is so nice to be able to sit back and relax and know that I am in good hands. I started seeing her when she was at Supercuts and was panicked when they suddenly closed a few months ago, and I thought surely I'd have to find someone new. So thankful that she put up a note outside with her contact info! Now it's an even more enjoyable experience in her own space in Sola Salons.
