“When my child's father passed this summer of 2024, All County Cremation took care of his remains in the upmost professional and caring manner. They even have recently texted me to check in on me to see how I was doing! I would highly recommend anyone to them, as they are caring, kind, and affordable.“
“A very easy and straightforward process to set up arrangements through their website and when speaking with staff. A good value. Extremely kind and respectful staff. Entire process was seamless, discrete and compassionate. I like that they didn't complicate things or apply any pressure. They made a very difficult time more comforting and took the worry out of what could be a complicated and expensive process. Thank you Colma Cremation for making my loved one's transition manageable and peaceful for me and my family.“
“Our experience with The Italian Cemetery was very professional and very pleasant. Thank you for answering my questions with patience and kindness.“
“Pierre was amazing. The monument is beautiful. It is really a work of art. He worked closely with me to capture the essence of what we wanted and knew how to turn it into something lovely. He did the job at a good price, also. Thank you Pierre.“
“The staff at Crosby-N. Gray are extremely professional and caring. They make the logistical part of a difficult and confusing time easy and seamless. I am so thankful for their help and expertise in making arrangements for loved ones. HIGHLY recommend!“
“Golden Hill Monument was recommended to me so I made an appointment to meet with Henry. I found that he was very knowledgeable on the Chinese characters etched on the gravestone when my father passed away many years ago. He made suggestions and we took the e one that made it consistent with the characters etched for my father. We were also very satisfied with remaining services performed on the reconditioning of the gravestone. Happy with the work performed and would highly recommend them!“
“On this coming 4th of July, I reflect on how much has been lost and gained in the United States, and so I sit and reflect at the places that mean so much to me.
Coming from a military family, I hope the lessons learned make us pause and think.
So here we stand, my wife and I in the middle of the golden gate national cemetery.
Here we visit, and we ponder the course of this nation. We visit what I call the "brass ridge". Here there are so many generals and admirals buried here, but not forgotten. As we walk through the greens and we stop at the tombstones of prominent and historical figures, I hear in the wind honor me, but remember the soldiers, sailors, Marines, Air force veterans that surround me and served this nation also. These were our men under our command.
Like Gettysburg, Manassas, Shiloh, the Alamo, Arlington and the national cemetery of the Pacific that I have visited. I remember with awe and wonder.
Another solemn place to visit. Moving to the soul and conscience.“
“Annette, Al, and staff are wonderful. So caring and supportive. They have helped with several family member burials over the years. They guided us through each step of the process and we were so thankful for their assistance and care.“
“We had my mom's funeral services here in 2023. I as well as my guests were very impressed with the quality of the funeral service. They even provided snacks and drinks for our guests while they were waiting for the service to begin. All of the funeral staff members that assisted with the service were attentive to our needs. We chose the full package which was well worth the price for how well the service was executed. My guests said it was unlike any funeral they've attended. Thank you Golden Hill Funeral Home.“
“Thank you so much for Cypress Lawn to help Our family get through this difficult time. We really appreciates the support that we received from the team at Cypress Lawn that let our love one live in the best hands for a peaceful afterlife......... Cypress Lawn is excellent and helpful ???“
“Chapel of the Highlands has helped my family severals times during our time of loss with their compassion and professionalism. Paul Larson and his staff are always kind. resourceful, and readily available to answer questions. The facility is clean, has good parking, and conveniently located.“
“Just placed my 91-year old mother in her space yesterday, 8/19/21, and our family was very happy with the service we received here. The grounds crew showed us a lot of compassion and performed the lowering of my Mom's casket with great care. They made good eye contact with us and treated us with great respect. As a recent retiree of both the cemetery and funeral home business, I always say that the cemetery grounds crew are typically the most caring of the employees.I had purchased my family's six double-depth spaces back in 1/12/1980and, as with home prices, cemetery prices have really gone up! Luckily, I made the right decision over 41-years ago to get these spaces. My mother is the first to use one of our spaces. This is a nice cemetery. There are some in the area that may have greener grass and there are some with lesser green grass. However the service (both in the office and on the grounds) is comparable, if not better, with the so-called higher end locations. I am happy with Greenlawn.“
“We laid to rest my mother in law and my husband's mom and children's grandmother. It was so sad but this Japanese Cemetery is so lovely and well kept. Many of my husband's relatives are here and on some of the sculptures are the names of the living who will go there when they pass. After placing her ashes in the little house, we walked the pristine grounds. No one was there but there was a sense of peace and calm. It is such a well-maintained place. Beautiful yet humble.“
“Chinese Christian Cemetery (CCC) is one of four cemeteries located on a hillside in Daly City, very close to Colma. CCC is located between Tung Sen Cemetery and the Russian Sectarian Cemetery. The two acres of land was purchased in 1898 for $1000. I have been visiting this place all my life. It's not a very well maintained cemetery. Mostly it's uneven bare ground, sometimes hard to walk on. Some of the headstones date back to the mid-1800's, some markers are unreadable. My parents are buried here. It's a quiet and peaceful place. Yes, it could use some benches, paved walkways and water faucets that worked. But all that matters to me is.....it's a peaceful place. God Bless“
“I called today to get information on a loved one that we believed to be buried here. I felt very nervous and awkward on the call, I'm sure I sounded like a complete nut, anxiety at it's finest. However, the woman I spoke to on the phone was very polite and reassuring. She answered all my questions and put me at ease right away. She gave me help and suggestions right away. I ended the phone call with a happy heart and a calm feeling.“
“I am there almost once or twice a week, honestly some part of the cemetery are okay and most area of the cemetery are dirt road with a little or no grass at all. So if and when it's windy, dirt travels. Besides the police training next door, at times it could be noisy hearing them during target practices but not always. I still like to spend my days here for it's quietness. At times I fell like bringing a portable chair and spend most of the day with love one , considering the weather is beautiful at times.“
“Contrary to Google maps directions, the cemetery is not permanently closed. it is very much open and the oldest Chinese cemetery in the area.“
“Very good service, economical and very friendly staff. Amy, personally, Cristina helped me and she is such a kind and attentive person. She explained to me any situation I had about my loved one. I recommend her. ?“
“I went to Holy Cross Cemetery to visit a very dear friend whose funeral I missed. He was interned in the mausoleum. After searching for over 30 minutes, I was unable to locate him. Luckily I stumbled across Luis, one of the groundkeeper. Showing him the location where my friend is interned, Luis confirmed All Saints Mausoleum was in another location in the cemetary. Luis personally took me to All Saints; furthermore, he went into the mausoleum to help locate my friend. Without Luis' help, there was no way I could have personally find my friend. Luis' kindness and help certainly made my day. Thank you, Luis!“
“A little over a year ago I reached out to Art in Stone with a very sad request... to create a head stone for my amazing late husband. It's an incredibly tough project, as many I am sure would agree, to create the very last thing for your loved one.... I was completely lost... I had no idea where to start, what to say, how to express my feelings of this immeasurable loss, sadness, grief but also to share the love of life my husband possessed??? How do you do that? How? Where does it start and do you end??? All of these, in my head , and I was completely lost ...until I met Michael! He is a saint, really. Professional, smart, kind, creative, sensitive with an amazing sense of of people's needs and wants. He has truly created the most unique and beautiful combination of my husband's past, our life together, our dreams for the future... all in one incredibly beautiful piece... Definitely recommend reaching out to the Art in Stone and asking for Michael and if he's available- you will be in the BEST hands“
“The warmth and professionalism Driscoll's staff has given me and my family has made one of the hardest times in our lives very easy. Thank you for the kindness and grace you give to the grieving families“
“I have family who are buried here: Grandparents and a great-aunt and great-uncle. I can't speak to the funeral home workers, and that's just because three of my family members passed away before I was born and I never had to talk to the workers about funeral arrangements. It is a nice and peaceful place to spend time thinking about and remembering your loved ones, but my biggest gripe is with people who apparently walk their dogs here. Every time I come here, I notice there is a ton of dog crap everywhere. All I ask for is that you have a bit of respect for where you take your dogs. This is a cemetery. We just want to come and see our loved ones who are no longer with us without having to sidestep your dog's crap. Since you don't have the common sense to not bring your dogs here, at least have the decency to clean up after them.“
“Angela is a kind and loving person. From the first time I came to plan my mother’s funeral to the day she was buried. She was knowledgeable and made sure everything was done to perfection. She’s like family to our family. Thank you ??“
“Daniel Fok was understanding and professional with all of his services including his presence on the day of the funeral. Tina Zhang was helpful and kind in squaring away the specifics with my father's final resting place. The were both very nice to work with in our time of grieving.“
“In Feb 2024 we held my Dad's service at Chapel by the Sea; the service was beautiful, intimate, and my father honored as he deserved. Armando demonstrated a level of professionalism coupled with years of experience, in guiding us through every step of the planning process, cost, and all aspects of the service ensuring we honored my Dad's life and military service. When my Dad passed, I contacted Armando and from the time Chapel by the Sea came to pick up my Dad (the men were very respectful) to the actual memorial, things went pretty smoothly. Armando drove a lot of the behind the scenes details and administrative work. The USN Military and gun salute arranged by Armando were executed flawlessly, paying tribute to my Dad's service with the dignity and respect he deserved. The atmosphere of the funeral home provided a comforting and peaceful space for the celebration of my dad's life. Overall, I cannot recommend Chapel by the Sea/Armando Santana highly enough.“
