“Finding a good General Contractor in the Tahoe/Truckee area is very challenging. So you can imagine our surprise when we found a GREAT contractor - Markus Burkhart Construction. We've had a ski cabin at Alpine Meadows for over 45 years, and we know the area very well. Our cabin made the cover of Sunset Magazine in 1965, so we treat it like a jewel. We needed to replace the metal roof with a composite shingle roof, and we also wanted to replace all of the windows and sliding doors. My soon-to-be brother-in-law (who's lived in the area "forever") recommended Markus Burkhart. We interviewed Markus and were impressed with his attention to detail. We ended up with Fleetwood windows and doors, and a Bylin Snow Melt System to boot. The job was done professionally; on time AND UNDER BUDGET! You can't beat that with a stick. Markus emailed us photos of the project on almost a daily basis, so we have a complete visual history of the project and how it was managed. We couldn't be more pleased.
