“Rideout sent my husband to Lakeside Colonial without me even knowing that's where he would be. This isn't where I wanted to have him cremated but to move him to another Funeral Home would cost hundreds of dollars so I had no choice. The staff isn't very warm or compassionate; very standoffish. After confirming an appointment and arriving on time, I still had to wait 10 minutes for paperwork to be filled out which should have been done beforehand. After reviewing the death certificate they filled out, my name was misspelled through out the entire document.When I picked up the urn and death certificates from Lakeside it wasn't any different than picking up clothes from a dry cleaner. No compassion at all; very robotic. This was very emotional for me and I would have appreciated a little more warmth from Ella.UPDATE:I changed my review from 3 stars to 4 stars. The owner of Lakeside called and discussed the situation. Maybe my expectations were different than what they should have been. Ella was very professional and did her job. In no way was she anything but professional so maybe not the warm and fuzzy feeling but under the circumstance perhaps her demeanor is what should be expected. I appreciate the owner reaching out; that shows he really cares.“
