“My brother died rather unexpectedly in Sacramento. He lived alone and had no children or spouse. Moreover he had no immediate family close by. I live about 2400 miles away, and had to deal his death via long distance. Obtaining a mortuary was one of my tasks, and I knew nothing about mortuaries in Sacramento. I was given a list of them by the Sacramento County Coroner's office. On a whim I chose Gormley and Sons, knowing virtually nothing about them. Robert Gormley worked with me and he made the process easy and painless. As it turns out they've been in the business for, I think, over 100 years. Robert informed me of all my options and since my brother was a veteran, Robert was able to have my brother buried at a National Veterans Cemetery with military honors. He took care of all the paperwork and guided me through the entire process. He returned all my calls and emails promptly. Robert met us at the funeral and guided us through the process of the funeral. My family and I are and will always be grateful for this. In addition my interactions with their staff have been very pleasant, and everyone has been respectful, calm, and kind. I can't say enough about Gormley and Sons.“
