After our kitchen sink started backing up Sunday night, we called South Bay Plumbing very early the next morning. Less than 2 hours later Matt was at our front door. Matt was able to clear the drain in about an hour and was the neatest plumber we ever had. He brought up a heavy movers blanket to protect the kitchen floor, a bucket large enough to put the P-trap in (without spilling any water that was in it) and clean cloths, which he later used to wipe off the mechanical snake, as he withdrew it from the drain, so it wouldn't create a mess under the sink area. After Matt replaced the P-trap, he wiped it (and all the area under the sink) off, so it was as clean as when he started. We were extremely pleased with South Bay Plumbing's quick response and Matt's efficient and courteous service.

First time in the chair with Kasai. Finally happy with a stylist after trying many salons throughout LA over the last 3 years. He’s very straight to the point, which I appreciate. The hair cut from wash to dry took about 45 minutes…quickest haircut of my life but I’ve never been happier. I showed him 3 reference photos and after a few suggestions from him on how to adapt the cut to me, he started the process. Immediately booked a 4 month touch up appointment which is something I never do. Cost of the cut (women’s) was $140. Not including tip. Absolutely worth it.

The Butcher is the best barber experience in the Southbay. Jody is the only one who truly knows how to provide a scissor cut (vs clippers). Not appropriate for kids.

I've set a goal for myself to grow a rather long beard throughout the next couple of years. 3 months in and I was feeling very shaggy and messy. I have decent beard genetics, but that doesn't mean that it's going to grow in evenly in a manner that looks it's best. I decided enough was enough and I needed to do some research to find a barber in LA that I could trust with my beard. Within the beard community, you will find numerous stories about barbers that have ruined beards that men have been growing for months or even years. Needless to say, I was nervous, but based on the reviews I read online and the brief conversation I had with JC on the phone, I felt confident he was the man for the job. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and consulted about what I was looking to achieve. I explained that I'm looking to just tidy up very minimally while keeping that natural big beard style look. He talked me through the entire process and always asked me before making any moves. My experience with JC was absolutely stellar and I will be back for my maintenance trims going forward. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for a stellar haircut or beard trim experience.

I don't know if men are just less smiley, but it's intimidating to go in for a haircut when nobody is friendly. The cut was good, I waivered between 3-4 stars because I felt the friendliness and price were disarming. Will try again, but hopefully they're more friendly next time.

I have been trusting Color Me Green since they opened many many years ago. They are the only salon i use. Technicians are professional, friendly and experienced . The salon is clean and well maintained; no chemical smell. I love the dazzle dry polish — it dries in 10 minutes and lasts a couple weeks. CMG is one of the few salons to offer this polish. This salon is excellent and i highly recommend it.

This is a place on the more pricey side- but you get what you pay for. As a dancer my feet need all the extra help I can get. When I come here, the pedicures are so good, I can last at least 2 months before needing another one. The staff is super friendly, they do an incredible job, and the ambiance is coastal cozy! 10/10 would recommend. If only they weren't so good I'd come more often :)

I called about a leaking toilet that needed to be reset with a new wax seal and the angle stop for the toilet that was frozen and needed to be replaced. They provided an estimate over the phone and agreed to come out the next day. While they were 15 minutes late, the 2 man team did the work quickly and competently. They finished in less than an hour and charged me less than the estimate.

Had the best experience today. Dr. Naski fixed a chip in my front tooth in 20 minutes (it was a filling that popped out after a decade+). My son is anxiety prone and had an unexpected panic attack kind of reaction the first time getting sealant put on to protect from cavities forming. As a result, this time when we had to come back to do it again Dr. Holden herself attended to him and made numerous adjustments to the process to help him tolerate it. She didn't make me feel like I was over dramatic and she took his situation seriously. I am beyond grateful to doctors like her who listen and accommodate. She's a top notch dentist from an expertise standpoint but she also understands kids/parents and has a great bedside manner. Seriously hugely grateful for what she did for my son today because these experiences go with them into the future and instead of trauma he's taking courage and the message that people will take care of him.

Erik Anderson was awesome! We came from Maui for a volleyball tournament. My daughter had a hurt shoulder and he fit her right in and took away the pain in her shoulder. Dr. Stell is fantastic! Ive been going to her for years. Most recently had a pinched nerve that was causing nonstop pain for a couple weeks in my shoulder. Dr. Stell isolated the location of the pinched nerve, alleviated the pain and provided some take-home exercises and prevention tips. Within 3 days I was back to normal. Highly recommend. Have been going to this yoga studio for the past four years, and it is wonderful. The owners and teachers are all devoted to creating a perfect yoga atmosphere for the students. And the variety of classes from yin to chair to slow flow to vinyasa make it a studio that works for all bodies’s needs.
A lovely little gem of a studio. The only disappointments are the lack of parking and no shower. I was fortunate to take class on a weekday at 9 AM so there was plenty of street meter parking. Even so, one has to be careful of the no parking signs for street cleaning and all the various rules. When I mentioned the of the parking to the front desk, she said yes the weekdays were easier. So I would definitely give yourself a healthy amount of time to find a parking spot, at least 15 minutes. I just happen to get lucky. Space is very tranquil. It's lovely and full of light and has really beautiful hardwood floors. There is one tiny bathroom with a sink with only cold water. No place to shower nor change. Bring your own mat or you can pay to rent one. All the props are generously loaned for free, including bolsters, blankets blocks and straps. The class was not too challenging. I didn't break a sweat. But perhaps there are other classes that are more intense. But it was a restful and centering class. TL/dr: perfect spot for locals to enjoy yoga.

She worked on my face when I experienced Bell's Palsy, and her experience and knowledge was 100% instrumental in helping heal me. I am forever grateful. Secondly, Kerry Ann worked on my ankle when I sprained it. She applied her expert massage techniques and Reiki, and It was measurably better within hours. I am not exaggerating. Kerry Ann is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable.

I found Dr. Lea Kelley on Yelp. I was in between travel and only had Saturday to get help with my hip and lower back pain before hopping on a Sunday afternoon flight.
Not many chiropractors were open after 2 p.m., but Dr. Kelley was. The reviews looked good, so I called, left a voicemail, and she returned my call within a short time.
I walked into her Manhattan Beach office unable to bend fully and in growing discomfort and pain. By the time Dr. Kelley was done with me, I bent over to pick up my shoes and immediately realized that I was able to do so without pain and without the sloth like motion previously required to move 12 inches.
