My father has COVID and the doctor on call (so called 'after care') wouldn't even speak to him or have a tele visit. She told my parents to go to urgent care. My dad has severe COVID symptoms. Incredibly rude and irresponsible. Absolutely disgusting.

Ever since Dr. Cummings retired the doctor that took her patients I've been very unhappy with this place.I contacted them back in June due to my disability I couldn't do my jury duty so I called the office to try to get an excusal letter as I had in the past from my doctor. I was told I had to make an appointment to do this. So I made an appointment but it was with the NP. The NP told me she'd write me a letter but then when no letter was issued, I followed up and was told she couldn't write that and I'd have to see a regular MD. So I made an appt. a week later with the MD taking Dr. C's patients. She didn't even take my vitals she merely asked what the problem was. I told her and she said she couldn't help me since she didn't have a history of me as "her patient". Well my chart was right there on her computer and all she needed to do is check in my records. She did nothing for me & yet turned around and nearly 3 months later I get a notice from Medicare that she had billed for a full office appointment! I was shocked and upset.I've been trying to contest the bill ever since but keep getting the run around. I've written online and been told by the message center someone will contact me but they never do. Then patient billing started to send me the bill every week in order to harass me! I called them and then was told they would talk to the office and I was given a name to call there to speak to in order to get this resolved however when I called the office & told them that Katy from SVMD told me to ask for Kim the clinic manager to discuss my issue the girl that answered the phone "Abby" asked me "which Kim". I told her all I was given was a first name but told she is the "clinic manager". But instead of Abby patching me over to Kim she told me she'd have to send her a message as she couldn't patch me over. This whole ordeal has been so stressful with bogus accounts of them supposedly trying to call me, but yet no one has called! I just lost a loved one in December, then found out I've got Shingles and all this game they are playing to not help me is really stressful. I sent them a good faith payment but they are threatening "collections". I would not advise anyone to go here as a patient unless you are rich and don't care how you are treated. I've already gotten a new doctor somewhere else because this place is awful! It feels like they are only in it for the money. They won't work with you or care about your needs. Obviously the office person who told me I had to make an appointment in order to get this letter from the doctor should also be held accountable. This forced an appointment to be made which then resulted in "no letter" and a whopping bill for nothing done!
