Had an appointment for a eyeglass prescription. Did not need an eye exam and most places will try to get you to have the eye exam anyway. No problem here, very professional and got a very good glasses Rx. Would go here again.

Everything I tried on at Alys Grace today looked amazing! Even my old favorite outfits are fitting comfortably again! People are asking what I'm doing differently. I have not been disappointed since beginning Pilates training starting in November 2023 at this beautiful downtown Los Altos studio. It is the most efficient resistance training that engages the full body, mind and heart. I am continually challenged, never bored, and I see and feel the results. No more back fat, underarm flab, and sleeping through the night! All the instructors and clients are wonderful humans. For the first time in my life, I actually look forward to working out!
My wife and I have been working with Jason for years and we truly cannot say enough good things about him. He has everything you want in a trainer: professionalism; unparalleled expertise on all things health and wellness related; and a kind, friendly approach that will appeal to anyone. He knows just how hard to push you so you are always advancing, but not so much that you risk injuries, or become too intimidated to continue. He is open-minded, creative, and collaborative. For people who are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant, know that he helped train my wife throughout her pregnancy and afterwards. Without a doubt, he is the reason that my wife was able to follow her own birth plan-the doctor was skeptical that she would be able to deliver without a C-section given the size of our baby and because she had spent 2 days in labor before beginning to push. But Jason had helped prepare her-both her core and her stamina-and she was able to deliver our kid safely in under 2 hours. The doctor called her the 'best pusher' she's ever seen-and that is because of Jason. In other words, he is perfect. Jason is also just a funny, smart, and interesting guy to be around-we have enjoyed not just working with him, but becoming his friend. We trust him with our life, and you will, too.
I have enjoyed going to Salon Lisa Lisa for the past year or so and appreciate Shelley Morasco’s willingness to listen to what I am looking for in a haircut. She has done great work. I also like the overall location of the salon and it’s comfortable atmosphere. I get the sense that all of the people who work there are highly competent and get along with one other. It has a nice homey feel.
Sam gave me a haircut for curly hair that also looks good when I blow dry my hair straight. She has lots of experience with curly hair, which can be hard to find, and gave me a terrific cut. So glad I found her! The salon is also super cute and relaxing.

I got my first haircut here yesterday - I followed Rosie from Therapy Salon just around the corner - so I am a long term client, who went to Balisimo for the first time because of her. Her new Salon is a great - it is a relaxing environment with all the amenities - and Rosie did incredible work as always - she's a high end stylist who I'd strongly recommend - and it's always fun chatting with her as well.
I purchased the $300 package for $150.00-that included full highlights, a styled hair cut and a blow dry. My long time hair dresser retired recently and I've been on a major search for my new go to pro! I liked the compliments for Tracy that I found on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It's just a bit shorter than I anticipated but - hair keeps growing so we will see how it goes. I have high hopes that I've found a long term hairdresser!

Farzana is extremely kind, skilled, and flexible. I called her same day and she made time for me to come and trim my clip in hair extensions in between her clients. She was not rushing me and helped guide me to her location and then she helped me place my extensions and gave them a trim. She is a very kind hair stylist and did a great job with helping me learn how to place my extensions and blending them to my own hair. Highly recommend!
Voila is an amazing nail salon as well as a great hair salon. The name should be Voila Hair and Nail Salon. I love going there and I am always treated so well. I love their Dazzle Dry products. They always find a time for me even if I am a last minute caller. I highly recommend this awesome place.

I felt that she cared about my concerns with my hair (I am a recovering chemo patient) and used her experience and expertise to make my hair look "normal". She was easy to talk to and she listened. I happened to find this gem on Google. I was flying in from out of state and emailed them to request a quote. Sam replied quickly asking for what I was looking for. I replied and they locked me in for a time that worked for me. The last barber shop left my hair uneven and I was finally able to get my hair cut the way I wanted, thanks to Brenda. Brenda was professional, personable, and spent time making sure my haircut was exactly the way I wanted it to look. Definitely hit Brenda and the ladies here up. Mindy is an amazing hairdresser with decades of experience. I have been going to her for years. She gives honest feedback when I ask and will cut my hair taking into account the texture and my lifestyle. She makes my hair low maintenance, and it grows out still looking great (a sign of an expert). I have always had long hair but decided to go for a bob for the first time. She walked me through the process, adjusting to fit my needs. My husband also goes to her too for men cuts, and he received lots of compliments from the family. Thank you Mindy. We will miss you when we move to the East Coast.
It was my first time there today. I just walked in & Peony did my acrylics. She was so sweet. I love what she did. It's 1000th time getting acrylics and I have never liked them this much before. Usually they always end up looking thick and I never like the shape. But she was super attentive to what I wanted. She put in a lot of effort! I love my nails! Had an amazing experience with her! Sara is a very talented makeup artist. She did my makeup for my wedding and also did my makeup for a video shoot I recently had. She knows how to accentuate beauty without making you look unrecognizable or clownish. She also knows the difference between what is needed for a photo shoot vs video vs real life. If you have an important event coming up, don't risk going to anyone else. Sara is a true professional. She has tons of experience and can handle all types of skin, people, and looks. She will also listen to what you want and make it happen. I've had my makeup done by others in the past, but no one is as good as Sara.

Going to Eric's was a Christmas gift from my son who he'd been going to for haircuts awhile now so he wanted me to enjoy my outing. Let me explain something.... all my outings have been health related for several years & going out for anytime takes planning. I am disabled, needing a walker for short distances & a wheelchair for longer ones. My son explained to Eric my special needs & he gladly said bring your mom. So. I was so excited about being pampered & having a real haircut by a professional rather than my scissors doing a butcher job to live with my hair. Eric was waiting and made certain my path was clear getting inside, making care to safely get me to the chair. He immediately put me at ease & I loved his rocker band feel while listening to soft Jazz. We spoke of my limitations related to any hair styling & although I never said specifically what I wanted.... he understood my needs. We then went to a very comfortable chair & sink to wash...ugggg my messy hair. He was absolutely fantastic, speaking of how to obtain & maintain clean hair, while he spoke briefly on certain products, he never pushed any. When he began the cut, he expained what he felt would be good, manageable & only needing another cut in 4-6 months. He understood how difficult it is for me to have an outing.... then showed me how to make tiny cuts if I needed to do a trim before coming back. He used a Paul Mitchell product, Skinny Serum which helps with drying ( I can't use blow drying or curling irons anymore) & I did purchase some. Then. I watched in wonder as he cut my hair beautifully & how I have dreamed of for 4 years!!! To be taken care of so well, my physical needs consistently watched over, my safety paramount & then to have a beautiful haircut.... It's priceless &.... the greatest compliment I can give him is this.... My barrettes are STILL in my walker & my hair is hanging, swinging perfect!!! normally... I walk out & Immediately pull my hair back in clips.. Lol. Not with this one. I'm so looking forward to returning to see Eric again. Thank you Eric.

I have been going to Dr. Susan for many years, and so has our family. As soon as you walk in, the staff gives you a warm welcome. Dr. Susan makes you feel comfortable. And they have the latest technology. But the best part is that they have bubble gum flavored paste for cleaning your teeth!

Dr. Mary and her family of practitioners are extraordinary. I spent along time trying to find a local chiropractor is gentle and offers graston. Kolisa, Dr. Mary's daughter is lovely, as is everyone in the office, and has provided relief on a years old shoulder injury that used to cause pain and tingling up my neck and down my arm. And she does it with the sunniest energy imaginable. Angel and Morgan provide fantastic massages that do wonders to enhance my adjustments. Dr. Mary is a gift--not only does she treat me with kindness and compassion, she provides exercises to do at home and offers payment plans as my particular insurance does not include them in their network. It is always a pleasure to be treated at this Center and they are my go-to whenever I'm experiencing back pain, mechanical issues, or managing stress. I love this family!

Dr. Moeni is the first practitioner (after consulting our pediatrician and a physical therapist) to recommend X-rays. Her recommendation prevented further injury to a stress fracture and she wisely avoided any adjustments that may have affected that area. The adjustments that she did do were amazing and released tension in the neck and shoulders.I am definitely going back and would recommend her .

The best massage studio I’ve found in the Bay Area! My favorite is the deep tissue massage - it can be a bit painful if you have tightness/soreness but the results are so worth it. Super effective massage for any problem areas!
Caring. Healer. These are the two words that best describe Pegah's spirit and skill as a professional massage therapist, for as long as I have known her to be since around 2011. My shoulder and my knee are two areas that she has helped end my frustratingly persistent tendinitis like pains. Her calm, deliberate touch seems to always be on target bringing immediate comfort to achy, worn and weary areas.

Phenomenal! Very grateful I found Dr. Chen and Dr. Shen. Highly recommend -- I had never had acupuncture but had a pain from an injury come back, and pain meds didn't do anything for it. Muscle relaxant only helped a little, so I decided to try acupuncture. I can't believe how much better I feel -- I could hardly walk or sit/stand, and now I am nearly back to normal four days later. Even though I had never experienced it, I felt totally comfortable in my session, had all my questions answered, and overall felt very well cared for.
Dr Ke is very detail oriented and truly cares for her patients. I have been visiting her for a few months and has been taken care by her with couple of treatment. I especially like their herbs therapy, which takes more time to see the effects and I do see myself gradually become more energetic over time. I really thank Dr Ke for her patience with me and she also got considerate plans for my treatment according to Traditional Chinese medical theories. I will continue to visit Dr Ke going forward!
Super talented acupuncturists at this compassionate, holistic, grounded and pragmatic practice. They’ll listen carefully and individualize care for your particular and changing (week over week) needs. Gentle needling technique, and the practitioners here incorporate cupping, gua sha, moxa, acupressure, as appropriate and if you’d like. Have seen many acupuncturists over the years (along with moves), and I keep coming back to this practice (going on 5 years now). Highly rec both Jennifer and Loren. And couldn’t recommend an overall better coordinated practice - you’ll be in great hands!
I've been going to XL for over the past couple of years now and he is the most professional, friendly and compassionate acupuncturist that I know of.He was able to diagnose and heal my repeated injuries to my neck after suffering numerous rear end car accidents over the years.Stanford Health prescribed me pain meds and recommended I see a physical therapist.Although, the physical therapist helped me rehabilitate my neck, it was my trip to XL that healed my neck completely. When I came in I still had this clicking sound on my neck whenever I titled it at an angle. After a few sessions, the clicking sound is gone!Went in for a tennis elbow, a frozen shoulder, lower back pain. Gone after multiple sessions.I texted him just recently and had to reschedule my session to earlier in the week because I was experiencing intermittent chest pains and thought it was heart related.Upon talking to him and informing him of my symptoms, he knew exactly where to place the needle in my chest. Exactly where the pain was emanating. What I had was a pinched nerve from overexercising. After a single session, he was able to eliminate the pain.He is such a miracle worker IMO.

I started seeing Michelle after a spine injury 7 years ago that left me with nerve damage affecting both legs. Every time I had massage or PT with the top practitioners for athletes (I'd been a runner and competitive athlete my whole life), I'd have a flare in nerve symptoms for days; pain, inability to sleep, increased muscle spasms, etc. Not with Michelle. She's very good at finding my problem spots and working on them with just the right technique to relax and reduce pain. She has a special gift of not aggravating my nerve symptoms during and after the massage. I always feel so much better after seeing her and highly recommend her for anyone looking to have a great massage.
