I know deleting files does not permanently remove the data, if you know how to retrieve it. I took them to Purl and Eric was AMAZING!! He removed the data drives and destroyed them right in front of me. It took him a matter of minutes and I have FULL faith the data will never be retrieved from those things. He didn't charge me anything and to make it even better, he was able to e-waste the remainder of the carcasses. I am so thankful; I can't say enough, I wish I could give him 10 stars.“
