Everything about my eyebrow microblading procedure and then the follow up procedure with Yolanda, owner of Microhair Aestetics, was fabulous. The cleanliness of Yolanda's cute studio was top notch and she uses organic ink. After a consultation to put my concerns to rest and really listen to what I wanted, Yolanda began the appointment with a meticulous and precise measurement of what "facial mapping" protocol indicates would look best on my face. After completed she made sure it worked well for me (would have made an adjustment at this time, but for me it was not necessary). This step is super important as there was some misshapen and slightly varied tweezing that has been done over the years. This added symmetry to my brows. Then she did a color check and a customization to match my coloring and preference. Once the "carving" of the actual hairs began, she was so patient and attentive Checking in on my pain level periodically. After a first sweep, a numbing cream was added (not put on at first as it changes the skin and is best to hold off if possible). My results are great and have yielded me so many compliments. This (young) business definitely has the making for a successful and thriving small business. It was interesting to learn that Yolanda will be adding services to help those with the unique needs associated with alopecia hair loss and also for men who have balding - yet another step to the success of this business. This addresses a niche market, for sure. To summarize, I feel confident Yolanda is the best of the best. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon her and her wonderful studio in downtown Lafayette.

I'm excited to YELP Microhair Aesthetics because I've waited 5 weeks to do it! Microhair Aesthetics fuses 100% vegan, organic and lead-free pigments with modern techniques in permanent cosmetics. The owner Yolanda started as makeup artists often do, by renting space in upscale salons and working photo shoots for Bay Area photographers. Over the past decade she fell in love with microblading. While perfecting the symmetry of her strokes Yolanda created her own clean makeup line to ward off the harmful effects of toxins that are found in most beauty products. Today, Yolanda is an industry innovator and founder of Microhair Aesthetics, a lifestyle brand with an unshakeable philosophy for clean, nontoxic, balanced aesthetics. Yolanda is first an artist but she is also an entrepreneur who lives the business philosophy of the brand she started. When I asked if my skinny 90s eyebrows were a challenge she said no. Yolanda also works with women who suffer from alopecia and she creates beautiful, natural looking eyebrows for them that frame their eyes and add symmetry to their faces. My advice is to let Yolanda do her thing. She is right. Trust her. At our 1st visit I micromanaged her design (length, arch, etc). After the healing process I returned 5 weeks later. By then I'd gotten used to seeing myself differently and I asked her to add the length and arch to my eyebrows that she'd originally created. Of course she never made me feel uneasy about the ask. She says creating a new look "is a process" that takes time and it's included in the original price. Her passion and nurturing demeanor are 100% authentic. Microhair Aesthetics is a huge win for Lafayette!
