We chatted as he got to drawing and I gave him artistic freedom with some of the design. I sure am glad I did because he took every thing he learned about me and incorporated it into the most beautiful, inspiring, perfect piece. It is more wonderful than I ever thought possible and I walked out of there on cloud nine. I'm so happy with everything about Island Tat and I love my tattoo beyond words.“

“My husband and I participated in the flash day event and had an amazing experience. The process to signup for the event was easy and we were quickly contacted with additional details. The shop was clean, organized and forms were easy to fill out.Our artist was Yushi and his art definitely lived up to what he posts online. Yushi was really helpful in deciding on placement and we are stoked with the final results. He even provided an aftercare pack that included all the instructions and some extra goodies. Amazing experience from the start of requesting the tattoo to completing the tattoo. “Will is the eyebrow master! This was an extremely AWESOME experience. The shop is beautiful and clean and everyone there is so nice and welcoming. Will is very good at what he does, he is a perfectionist and that's important when you're doing eyebrows on somebody's face. He knew exactly the color that went well with my hair color and I couldn't be more happier please see him, it will change your life! I didn't really have to tell him the kind of shape I was wanting because he goes with the shape of your face. I highly recommend him and anyone at the shop because they all seem very professional!“

“couldn’t say enough great things about the shop and my artist, nick.nick has done quite a few of my tattoos and the experience is top notch - he goes out of his way to make sure i’m comfortable during the experience, produces amazing work, and always meets me with amazing conversation. further than getting a tattoo, it feels more like hanging out with a friend and i leave feeling slightly cooler than i felt coming in. i’ve done a mix of his designs and mine and every time he delivers something stronger than i was expecting and is open to tweaks or adjustments as needed.i see any reason to go to anybody else in san diego, truthfully.the shop is clean, has a really cool vibe, and everybody there seems to communicate really well and they genuinely all seem like great people.“

“Booked tandem appts with my bestie for a basic tattoo of a phrase on my forearm - simple fine line font - nothing too fancy - but i saw examples of Clister's work and it was so beautiful i had full confidence in his ability to tattoo some letters on us. Booking was simple because he is listed on the booksy app - saw the name of his shop and we loved it so we impulsively booked him last minute for two 45-minute appts about a little over 24 hours in advance... the app enables u to book, pay a deposit and a tip in advance if u so choose. His shop/work space is shared with a barber shop- overall a great atmosphere - good vibes and clean enough. Clister is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable so he gave us some guidance to help ensure that we would be happy with our tattoos from the day we got them til they have aged for many years- which we appreciated very much. He was not heavy handed, he was very focused while he did precise work- and my friend was actually kinda fidgety moving his feet and talking with his other hand while Clister quietly worked through it w/ zero frustration (impressive). What surprised me most what that my *extremely* picky friend is delighted with his tattoo and said it was exactly what he wanted/pictured. I was shocked cause even though Clister's execution was basically perfect - my friend is *difficult* to please and even more difficult to impress. Parking was easy, they played music i loved and it was overall a fantastic experience. I will 100% be returning to Clister for all my tattooing needs. I saw the couple of negative reviews he had but ignored them because there's always gonna be some bozos who think it's their job to be pissed off haters, and i am glad i ignored them because Clister was professional and damn near achieved the impossible when he made a satisfied customer out of my bf...we couldn't have really asked for a better experience. Highly recommend.“

“I was referred to Pete by some close friends. Although their work was a few years old, I was impressed at how well the ink color stood up over time and the quality of his work was really clean with no scarring. I reached out to him via IG and he was super responsive and helpful. With a deposit he began working on the design for a larger piece for me. While I was waiting I sent over a separate smaller tattoo I had been wanting and he got me in the following week. The location is clean and organized and once you sit in his work station you can see all the artwork on display that's his personal art. Extremely talented and very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was wrapped in plastic and removed from sterile packaging. I loved my smaller piece and the design he came up with for my larger piece was beautiful. I made sure to book my next session that same day. I highly recommend Pete. Price point was great also?“
