About a year ago, I was driving by after surfing and my back, shoulders and neck was sore. So I looked up the phone # and they had an hour massage open. Nina was available and the deep tissue sports massage was unreal. Neck, shoulder and arms felt very relaxed after the deep tissue massage and also walking on back relieved lower back pain. Left feeling totally relaxed and ready for another surf the next day. The managers seems very nice as well. The guy was good at explaining the different massages etc. Jessie has a voice like Alexa Haha I would recommend the deep tissue sports massage Closer for me than Happy Head foot massage in PB that is also great.

I've been to this place a few times so I think I have a good understanding compared to the rest of the one timers who reviewed this place. Price: is a bit high compared to other places in Convoy and Clairemont, but it is located in La Jolla so you should expect it to cost more. Front desk: Very helpful and straightforward. It's what you would expect from a typical Asian massage parlour. Not any bad experiences in the past. Experience: Most of the masseuses are normal but there is one Thai woman who I had last time and she talked to me the WHOLE time I had my massage. She told me about her upbringing in Thailand and how she loves America and the opportunities it brings to people like her to live a better life. I was kind of annoyed by the constant conversation which I've never had during a massage, but I actually kind of liked it because I got to learn about her culture and she told me all the tips about vacationing to Thailand. I forgot her name (as a general note about all Asian massage parlours here, most masseuses use fake names to hide their identity) but she is shorter and very muscle-ly built and gave a great Thai style massage which included lots of stretching and deep tissue/standing on back work. The other masseuses also give good massages but this Thai woman who talks the whole time does the best job in my opinion from that staff. Tip: usually they demand a 20% tip or more. I know some cheapskates will frown upon this, but you have to realize most of these masseuses are imported to the US on a work visa and their only source of income is your tip. An extra 10-15$ makes a big difference to them as they get paid pennies in their home country for twice the amount of work we do in America. Please, just be understanding. Happy ending notes: I've never received any happy endings or have had any type of flirting from the masseuses. However, previous comments on here have said that they were approached in that manner. I've been to numerous "happy ending" massage parlours in San Diego and across the world, and this place doesn't strike me as one of those establishments. However, anything is possible and I'm sure if you offered them enough money they would give you a HJ or BJ. On a side note, I always come here with my family so that could shy away the happy endings. At other REAL happy ending places if you bring your family in there for a massage they usually don't even attempt to "rub and tug". I will go in alone next time and see what happens though and keep y'all updated on this. I'm not sure if they still have this sign up, but there used to be a sign that said "no sexual services offered here" which is a huge sign that it is not a happy ending establishment. But again, like i said anything is possible especially since this is a very foreign run massage parlour and happy endings are part of their culture whether or not the US government agrees with them or not.

the lucky ocean spa is a great place for a relaxing and therapeutic massage. It has a new owner and the staff is very professional and helpful. I receive a massage regularly, for an injury to my neck and shoulders that was sustained in an accident. I live with severe pain that can often times be relieved by massage therapy. If I need deep tissue work done, or just a mild massage to relieve the stress of my job. The staff at Lucky Ocean Spa can assist me. It is difficult to find a masseuse that can work with you in relieving your problem spots, and I have been lucky enough to find one. I highly recommend the services provided there.
