My eyebrows were long overdue (like, by years ? yikes), and Ayda made me feel confident that I was in the right place. Ayda started by asking about my eyebrow history and my relationship with my brows, then gave a very thorough explanation about what they were going to be doing to my brows and why. I have never had a consultation like that before, and it made me feel so comfortable moving forward. And I love how my brows came out! “Elanita Korian made me feel perhaps the best I’ve ever felt, in one of the worst weeks of my life. I contacted her the week I came down with Bell’s Palsy (partial facial paralysis) after my doctor said acupuncture might help. I was a mess—scared and unsure of what was going on with my body. After a quick phone consultation, Elanita fit me into her busy schedule, and I’m so grateful that she did.Elanita did acupuncture on my face, hands, and feet, LED light therapy on my face, and light cupping on my face, as well as using essential oils. I’d never had acupuncture before seeing Elanita, so I had no idea what to expect, but afterward, I felt lighter. I felt like I was floating and like a burden had been lifted. I felt really cared for at a moment when I needed someone to care for me. Her demeanor is calming, and I felt like she was really listening to me. Elanita followed up by recommending an iron and herb supplement for energy—I’ve been taking it and I think it’s helpful—and she immediately sent notes about me to a different acupuncturist I planned to see who takes my insurance. Her practice is conveniently located downtown, right by Muni and BART, and the space is lovely.I’d had nothing to compare my visit to at the time, but now I’ve been to a couple of acupuncturists who take my insurance, and there’s just no comparison. Other acupuncturists I’ve seen are just people sticking needles in my face and body, which might or might not help, but seeing Elanita was transformative. I’m planning to go back to Elanita and splurge on paying out of pocket because I’ve never felt so good in my life.“

She was responsive to my request for an appointment and asked questions to get a sense of my skin care needs, including allergies. The studio is a relaxing, pleasant environment and Charlotte was friendly, professional and obviously has a lot of knowledge about what she does. I appreciated that she told me in advance about what she was about to do and how it would feel. Charlotte has a gentle touch, and even though my face was a little pink afterwards as can be expected, my skin was very happy and much improved by the next day. “This is a long overdue review for Allie. I've been going to Allie for over 6 years starting in SF. I've had issues with rosacea and sensitive skin since turning 30 (stupid hormones!) and if it weren't for Allie, I'd still be suffering from red, itchy, angry skin. Allie is knowledgeable on all products and customizes my facials every time based on what my skin condition is at the moment. Because of her, I have had people comment on how good the condition of my skin, even other dermatologists and skincare professionals! I appreciate the fact that she only recommends the products I need and will tell me honestly if something will not be effective or worth my money. She never upsells. She truly cares that her clients have the best skin and results. I've even introduced my mother (who is very picky about who touches her face) to Allie's services and after her first facial vowed her undying loyalty to Allie. I've seen my mom's skin improve 100 fold. Her skin glows, sun spots have minimized and she looks years younger. All thanks to Allie. Allie opened her own practice and even though it's a far drive, it's a testament to her professionalism and expertise that many of her clients, including me, are willing to make the trek to see her. And let me tell you, these folks are punctual. When they say your massage starts at 3:05, they mean it. Now, let's talk about the massage therapists Michelle and Gina because they're the real MVPs here. They're kind and intuitive, but don't let their friendly demeanor fool you - when it comes to massage, they can pack a punch! They know exactly where to press, knead, and push to get those stubborn knots out. It's the perfect mix of "Ooh, that's the spot" and "Wow, I didn't even know I needed that." They tailor the session to what you need, making sure you walk out feeling like a million bucks. All in all, Amina just nails it, especially if you have stubborn knots from working at a computer all day. They're surprisingly strong and know just what to do. A trip to Amina in Jack London is like a mini-vacation without the hassle of packing. They've thought of everything to make sure you leave feeling healthier, more relaxed, and maybe even a little taller than when you came in.“
