“We recently finished up our ADU project with Jonathan in Monrovia. We were very impressed with his assessment of the property during the bidding process. We had several contractors come out but none of them were as knowledgable about the code and requirements for completing the work. His estimate was realistic which was great for our financial planning. Not only that, but Jonathan handled everything with the city. We both work full time and the permitting process/working with the city was something we really did not want to deal with and were worried would require a lot of back and forth. To us this process went seamlessly as Jonathan addressed all communications with the city. All we had to do was visit city hall one time to sign some paperwork after the ADU was built, and even for that Jonathan addressed the hassle of getting an appointment set up.It was important to us that our ADU was built with attention to detail as the intended residents are my parents, who are to say the least, picky. Jonathan handled all of their questions and concerns. He carefully navigated having basically two sets of clients between my parents and my husband and I. He helped them pick out materials, was patient, and responsive. If there was anything that they did not like or any issues arose, Jonathan addressed it ASAP.We are very pleased with the results and excited to have a wonderful home for my parents to retire in.“

“I was referred to Vick by a friend of ours in regards to a kitchen remodel I wanted done. I had never tackled a project like this before and was actually very intimidated at first. I contacted Vick and set up an appointment to come out to his shop to discuss my plans. He was very flexible. I being a mechanic myself am very very picky on who I like to work on and touch my belongings. When I walked into his shop to find him actively working and was very relived to find it organized. I discussed with him my ideas and he improved on my ideas by providing his expertise and professional input with design ideas and such, which I ended up going with due to the fact they were brilliant. I ended up doing all the demo on my kitchen, (Personal choice to save money) and setting it up for him so he can come install everything. He guided me on how to run certain things and where they should be and how I should leave it for him. During install Vick and his colleague were very meticulous while installing my cabinets taking their time to be exact and never doubted my inputs. During installation I had changed some ideas around and he was able to work with them building me an extra cabinet that wasn't on the original plan. Kitchen ended up looking AMAZING and all the little spaces of the old useless kitchen are now being used because of his brilliant ideas. “we began with a small project. I was impressed with how David integrated what we had rather than throwing out the old and ordering completely new things. On the first project (updating the living room) he had several good ideas that were reasonably priced and helped create a new look for the living room. We next moved onto the den. David picked wonderful fabrics for us to choose from. the craftsmen that he uses do great quality work. there was never a redo or mistake. Once of the things that most impressed us was the fact that, without taking any notes, he remembered every detail that we wanted help with.Finally we moved onto the master bedroom and bath. David presented several 'stories' of fabrics and looks that we could integrate into the bedroom. We selected one of the four options and are very happy with the result. Erika, head of his office staff if amazing. She organizes the timing of orders and installations. Any changes are immediately noted and confirmed. We knew the timing on every detail continually. On the day of installation of the bedroom David's staff arrived and placed the furniture, bedding, hung our art, etc. It was very exciting. “We worked with CxS Designs for all of our interior design needs. We engaged them when we moved into a new 6 room, 5 bath, 4200 square foot home, where we had a lot of ideas, and very little time to think through them ourselves. We were also engaging in multiple major renovations, so we needed CxS to help us think through everything from the layout of the renovation, to building new cabinetry, to furniture selections, to lighting, to art & accessories. We also had very busy personal lives - had a new baby, were busy with work, etc., and had never worked with an interior designer before, so probably not the easiest client in the world :)Cristina and Sonia were fantastic from end to end. Most importantly, we love the way our home looks, and we can confidently say we wouldn’t have been able to do this without them.
