“Coastside Esthetics is a welcomed addition to Half Moon Bay. As a touristy town, it can be hard to find affordable beauty services. The pricing is great and the quality of treatments are some of the best I’ve had. I have sensitive skin and Lydia uses mild and organic products that leave me feeling refreshed. It's really a special treat to see beautiful arts hanging on the wall of a local Bamboo Hair + Body. The location is convenient, right off Main Street of down town Half Moon Bay. I love the vibrant colors of her paintings. My photos do not reflect how unbelievable her creativity and her color work of her arts. I highly recommend to come and see her paintings with your own eyes. I appreciate her nature capture in still arts. I feel happy and inspired looking at her beautiful bright colorful paintings. Her creation is unique, special and rare! Her arts, especially those with the hummingbirds inspire me to love, to hope, and to be happy and creative. Her acrylic paintings on canvas, and Fence Chunks from recycled wood, which hang on walls, fences, gates and decks are marvelous! “Highly recommend Mizu for hair color! I came in with about 3 inches of ugly, brassy root regrowth after getting highlights at a pricey NYC salon 3 months prior, where I live part of the year (had been doing 10+ years of DIY color before that). My appt was with Bere, who is a newer stylist/colorist (which I told them from the start was totally fine with me, given that my hair is straight, fine, naturally fairly light, and takes color easily). Carla, the owner/color genius guru, guided Bere very thoroughly and attentively throughout the whole process. There was much more toning and color correction involved than I expected, and Carla had it literally down to a science. Was fascinating to hear some of the color-processing and chemistry-related convos they have amongst themselves. These colorists definitely know what they're doing and my hair ended up looking as close to my original sun-highlighted beige blonde as it did when I was a kid (and better!) and exactly what I wanted. Bere did a superb job of styling it afterwards, which lasted much longer than anything I normally do at home. Staff is fun and friendly, prices are very reasonable, and they were super accommodating to my schedule. Very happy to become a new ongoing customer of one of our local coastside businesses“
