“We had Glad Construction renovate our entire house at the beginning of 2024. Bottom line-results were absolutely amazing. Truly better than what we expected. They told us the work would take up to three months and they were spot on. Everything was done in about two- and one-half months, the entire house, quite impressive. They had a lot of subcontractors, which might sound daunting, but this is a good thing. You want an expert in each individual part of the process. You want someone who specializes in tile work, you want someone who specializes in cabinets, you want someone that just does shutters. Each individual component was perfect. This was a huge project for both sides. There were some early hiccups, I think which can be attributed to both sides. The great news is that the Contractor, David, really stepped in and helped us all along the way when we had questions or needed to order additional materials. They utilize a design build process. Make sure you talk to them about that and understand what it means. Also, make sure you get enough of their time to help you walk through your vision and get their expert advice on what might work and what might not work. This is where we had some hiccups and I think if we had spent more time with David up front that would have helped. There were some design elements we wanted to incorporate, bought materials, and then some things had to be changed mid project. On a project of this size, that is just going to happen, but knowing as much up front, walking through each element of the project, is crucial on both sides. Again, when things did go a little sideways, David really stepped up and helped us out. We would recommend these guys no question. In fact, our neighbor was able to get some kitchen work done at the same time upon our recommendation of the great work going on at our house. “It took me some time to write this review because my journey with Goodlife was truly unique. Two years ago, my home was destroyed in a storm when two oak trees fell on it, leaving it uninhabitable. Initially, I hired a different company to handle the rebuild, but the process was full of issues and delays. Frustrated, I reached out to my insurance adjuster to switch contractors, and that's when I found Goodlife--and my journey with them began. From the very start, Goodlife was honest, transparent, and incredibly supportive. I felt an immediate connection with them. They moved quickly, handling all the details and guiding me through the selection process for materials and designs. Since this was a complete rebuild, I knew it would take time, and in the end, the project lasted about a year and a half. Throughout the entire process, they were with me every step of the way, always gracious and understanding. During this time, my life took an unexpected and devastating turn. My husband of 41 years became very ill and passed away. With my children living far away--one in a different state and another in a different country--I found myself alone. But Goodlife became so much more than just a contractor; they became a part of my family. They didn't just focus on rebuilding my house--they made sure I was okay. They asked how they could help, listened when I needed to talk, and treated me with incredible compassion. Mark, in particular, went above and beyond to fight for me. Olesia who handled the financing, was like my angel--keeping me updated on payment plans, timelines, and costs with so much grace and care. When the house was finally finished, I hosted a "Goodlife party" to celebrate and thank the team for everything they had done. Even now, they remain a big part of my life.
