“What a wonderful studio! We came in for our trial and felt so welcome and so at home. We have only taken 2 classes and my two kids cannot get enough.One thing to note, they do an amazing job of educating you on what to expect. Right after signing up, we received a video telling us about the studio and its history. Followed up with an educational video on how to tie the belt properly. I truly feel like we had all of our questions we didn't know we even had answered. Not to mention the uniform was provided, a t-shirt and the most informational packet to help a non karate mom. I cannot wait to see what being apart of the AMAA family for years to come.“

“Like many of us, I’ve had my own personal struggles and issues. 8 years ago, I met sensei Marcos Rubio. I walked into the dojo one day and tried out a lesson with him. One lesson was all it took for me to know this was something I wanted to be a part of and I made the decision to sign up.
It was my first lesson, and my first time ever learning a martial arts class. Something I’ve always wanted to do since I saw “Big Trouble in Little China” when I was 4 years old. My favorite movie of all time!
Sensei Marcos is unlike anyone I had ever met, and he’s taught me so much over the years, and I am proud to say that he’s my Master, but I love this man like he’s my dad.
It’s amazing to know you have a great dad in your life, let alone 2. I’ve earned my black belt under him and today, not only am I student of his, but I’m an instructor as well, and now I’m a second degree black belt. He’s helped me with so much that it’ll never be enough to say “thank you”.
He helped me become a better person. He made me a better version of myself. I am forever grateful to Master Rubio for that. Not only him, but all the instructors here as well. Not only because they’re great instructors, but they’re great people.

“Our little guy was interested in starting Taekwondo and his friend from school was going here. Since his Mom highly recommended TKS, we decided to try it. In just 2 short months, our little guy has learned so much. The Masters work carefully with him to build his skills and what I love the most is that while they are focused on training, they are also teaching him about respect. They are influencing his whole self, his view on how to demonstrate active listening and they have even helped him understand how important it is to put away his toys with no help! We recently participated in a Make-up belt test and were able to see what different belts had learned while the kids proved their abilities. We were so excited to see each child at a different level, demonstrate what they had learned and prove that they deserved to move to the next belt. We were also impressed with the confidence, active listening and respect that each student showed. And of course, we loved to see the different levels break boards in different ways. TKS Martial Arts Center has an amazing summer special going. For $99 we got a month of classes, the registration fee and his uniform. This allowed us to try out the classes and see if he liked it. Which he really did!“

The professors are knowledgeable and supportive and classes are well structured while still allowing the people there to have fun and challenge themselves. “Im only going to speak on the kickboxing classes. I havent tried their sparring or grappling classes but This isnt your normal cardio class where you hit the bag a few times and go home. they will empty your tank, you will be fatigued and you will be punching and kicking the bag until your arms and legs fall off, your clothes will be drench with sweat every session. The sessions were amazing, They would empty my tank on the bag with a combination like a 1-2 or a specific kick over and over and we would move right back into pad work and back onto bags, completely working the whole body and mind. I’ve trained at multiple MMA gyms and I can confidently say these kickboxing classes are not for hobbyist, they will train you like you’re a professional kickboxer and striker going into a fight. I cant speak highly enough of how tough, rigorous, and intense the pad work and bag work here for the kixkboxing classes is.“
