“Love love this pet clinic! I brought my 5 month old puppy here since last November and everyone who works there is so professional and truly cares about your pet! My pup has unfortunately been through the ringer health wise; there was a point where we were coming to the vet almost every week and they were able to finally figure out what was happening! I appreciate their strategy of treatment to first use mild approaches and then only suggesting more invasive ones when the other ones don't work especially because vet bills can be so costly. I also like how they send out reminders for all of the vaccines so I don't have to keep track of them myself! I will say that it's super hard to get an appointment for a new pet. I called them because I wanted to refer my friend, but they said they weren't taking any new patients, but to try again at the end of summer.“

“Our 13-year old senior female maltese-mix dog suddenly became ill with urinary symptoms worsening the next day which happened to be July 4th. We canceled our plans to go watch fireworks to stay home with the dog. I called her regular veterinary office first thing in the morning but got a recording that they were busy and unable to take my call and to leave a message for a call back. Left a message describing our dog's symptoms and the need for her to be seen right away. This was in the morning. Several hours passed without a call back so I called Millbrae Pet Hospital because they advertised urgent care and same-day appointments. They were very polite, asked questions and arranged an appointment after explaining there would be an extra cost for a same-day appointment and was I okay with that. I found the fee reasonable and booked the appointment. Ironically, our regular vet's office finally called back as we arrived for our appointment. They were disappointed we had booked somewhere else but they understood and apologized for the delay. Upon arrival we were directed to the waiting area after giving them our dog's information. The office is bright and clean but they informed us that the a/c wasn't working (it was a hot day). I was relieved that the waiting area wasn't crowded. After a brief wait we were called to the exam room. Staff was very polite, checking in on us several times and keeping us updated on when the doctor would be in, explaining he had just finished performing surgery. The doctor was very nice, asked questions and explained all the possible causes for our dog's symptoms as he examined her. Afterwards he went over a list of recommended tests to help determine the cause of our dog's symptoms but he stressed that he always likes to start with the lowest cost option first whenever possible and only progress to more expensive tests or treatment options if the initial treatment doesn't work. I said I would be okay with doing some bloodwork panels in addition to the antibiotics. He kept trying to save us money, saying we could always do additional tests later if she didn't improve mid-way through a course of antibiotics which might be all she needed to clear up her infection. I have never met a veterinarian that didnt push expensive tests. In the end I really wanted some bloodwork done in addition to urine testing so the doctor patiently explained what each blood panel test could reveal and recommended which one would be most beneficial. Such an honest, straight forward doctor! They had us wait for the results of the tests. We had the waiting area to ourselves. Her bloodwork came back surprisingly good, with only a couple of markers elevated which he explained were likely spiked by her infection. A bladder infection was confirmed. He prescribed a 3-week course of antibiotics to ensure elimination of all bacteria to avoid a bounce-back infection after the antibiotics are stopped. He also very compassionately explained that she might be experiencing pain so he included pain medication to be administered just until she feels more comfortable. This was the most positive vet experience. I had expected a huge bill depending on what was wrong but came away pleasantly surprised. HIGHLY recommend Millbrae Pet Hospital!“

“It was hard finding a new Veterinarian after our previous vet clinic closed. We tried a few, but none really stuck until we met Dr. Tais at Masson. She was personable and took her time getting to know each of my pups. The office staff, Sarah, Jennifer and Jasmine are also a very big reason we chose to stay at Masson, they're all super detailed and knowledgeable. It is so hard to find a Veterinarian that you and your pups like and it's even harder finding a great office team, but at Masson you get both! I am so so happy I found them.“

“We have been seeing Dr. Magnar for acupuncture at the clinic and are very happy with the care our dog has been receiving. His is a complex case and there is no magic pill, but the fact that he is always eager to go to and resistant to leaving the clinic after each session says a lot about the way he is treated there :)“

“Dr. Sutter & his staff are truly Godsent. Dr. Sutter is very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. He has been looking after our pets for quite some time now, and continues to amaze us with his skills. I have a pretty big pack at home, and they all are patients at this clinic. My kitten had a recent surgery with Dr. Sutter to have his injured eye removed. I felt very at ease knowing my little guy was in the best hands. I have another adult cat that has been Dr. Sutters patient for quite some time, and he always provides great care and recommendations during annual visits. Our two dogs also are quite nervous around people, but they absolutely love Dr. Sutter and his technicians. They are so loving and gentle to them, truly treating them as if they were their own pets. His staff is absolutely wonderful, and kind. All of my interactions with them have been positive, and supportive. I am so glad we found this clinic, and Dr. Sutter. I give them all my strongest recommendation, and appreciation for their wonderful work.“

“There are so many things that we love about Animal Cove. Dr. G is one of the most caring doctors we have ever met - so wonderful with our two pups and also with us human parents. He has gone above and beyond, helping us when Mavs got bit by a tick, fitting him in same day and getting in-house and external labs ordered asap, followed up with the best care plan. When Ripley had stomach issues that wouldn't stop, they made time for us same day, ran tests to rule out and got us on the right antibiotics and she was better within 24 hours. Dr. Inna is one of the gentlest souls with our pups and she makes magic happen with her holistic approach with acupuncture, laser therapy and so much more. She helped prep both of our pups with 1 treatment of laser therapy before their neuter/spay, followed up with 1 more treatment post. Their recovery and healing was so fast - we attribute it to Dr. Inna's laser therapy! Animal Cove is open 7 days, a godsend for when sickness strikes on the weekend. The front desk team and the nurses are also so warm and welcoming with both humans and our furry loves. It is clear that Dr. G and Dr. Inna care about investing in the right people for their team. Their pricing is also fair and in some cases, more economical than we have found elsewhere. They provide invoices via email which makes it super easy to submit to our pet insurance as well. We love Animal Cove Pet Hospital and highly recommend!“

“THANKFUL FOR DR. RICH !!! Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is such a gem. The team there works so hard and very compassionate person. It has been a while since I wanted to write this review: When I was in high school, I experienced the worst news about my cat having surgery because the wound on her leg was infected. The front desk was always communicative, kind, and supportive throughout my cat's entire experience there! Dr. Rich is the best veterinarian and my first experience taking my pet to a hospital. He made the process easy to process and understand. When my cat was healing from her stitches, I could tell the stitching on my cat was done beautifully. Dr. Rich is an expert in his profession! It was an emotional rollercoaster, but with the support from Dr. Rich, the nurses, the receptionist and all that contributed to my cat's recovery. Your light made an impact on my life during that time. You all saved my best friend! Thank you for all that you do. I wish so much happiness to everyone - Wendy“

“I just moved from the South Bay and Peninsula was recommended. I needed to get in quickly for rabies and vaccinations for my pup. All went well, when I got there I was greeted by staff. It was busy, and I waited a tad longer. But it didn't matter, I really liked Dr. Ulla. She was personable. She got down on her knees to greet my dog who is 46 pounds. She reassured my pup and soon she was licking the vet! So big yay. I am thrilled to have found a great vet in Menlo Park!“

“We were on a road trip with our dog last month and we stopped at a dog park to let her play. She can be shy at times and there were lots of active social dogs there so it took us a few minutes to realize something was wrong. We noticed she kept squatting to pee and she did this over and over. I though the was excessively marking for some reason but I had never seen her so it before. I realized after about her 5th squat that nothing was coming out. She did this at least 10 more times and I decided to take her out of the park. We walked along a trail and she continued this behavior. I knew for sure now that it wasn't social, but physical and I was terrified. My dog was clearly trying to urinate but nothing was coming out. It was after 6pm and I was hours from home so I googled vets in the area and started calling. The first few were closed, but one had the name and phone number for North Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic on their recording in case of an after hours emergency. I called and the person who answered didn't seem concerned. You would think that might have made me feel better but I got more frantic so she said "I mean, it could be a blockage" and told me I could come in if I wanted. The initial contact did not comfort me, but I started the 30 minute drive in their direction. I stopped on the way to let her out again and make sure she was still unable to go. When we finally arrived it was almost dark and to my surprise and confusion the complex actually had two different emergency vet locations. I walked her around the parking lot to again check if she could potty but nothing happened. I walked over to the other location because I was thinking of seeing if they were more compassionate but staff from North Peninsula came outside and contacted me before I could go into the other location. I explained that I had called earlier and they told me to come inside. I just wanted help for my dog. I could write a book about the experience. Emergencies with your pet are horrifying! I really feel for everyone who has been in this situation and had to find a place to bring their pet. Emotions are already so high. In an effort to make an already long story shorter, we spent about 5 hours at the clinic in total. We filled out the paperwork, met with a vet tech, approved an x-ray for our pup and then met with the vet. The vet was fantastic and I believe she did everything in her power to help our dog. I don't know what more you can ask for. I can't speak to any other vets here or anyone else's experience. I understand why people are frustrated with the admin staff in front. They don't have the best customer service or communication and they made multiple mistakes with me and with other patients while I was there. That being said, all the techs we dealt with were patient and kind and the vet was a rockstar. The vet's name was Renee "Tino" Luchman and she explained that our dog had a blockage and her bladder was slightly enlarged. She showed me the X-ray without hesitation (which I really appreciated because I have paid for multiple x-rays at other vets and not been allowed to see them) and I could see that the blockage was close to the exit. She said would try to get it out by hand right away to relieve our dogs suffering. Unfortunately that didn't work because my dog was very anxious and not cooperative, so they gave her some sedatives and, after a lot of anxious waiting on my part, they were eventually able to get it out. The DWM even brought the blockage out to show it to us, without prompting, further demonstrating her her great communication and genuine concern. They also sent the blockage away for analysis and it turns out that the type of stones our dog has are treatable, so a few weeks later they sent us a prescription for a special food. It's expensive as heck but I am just glad they found out what was wrong with my baby and I am happy to do whatever I can to keep it from happening again. The visit cost me over $600 including antibiotics and pain medicati“
