I've been coming to this salon for some time now for haircuts because they are so reasonably priced for such good quality! I normally request Angie and she always does amazing. This time I requested Jenny who also did fantastic for me today! I asked her for a medium butterfly cut and showed her a picture. It ended up exactly how I wanted. I had pretty long hair with a lot of split ends before so it feels much healthier now. I feel like Rachel from Friends LOL. Would highly recommend both Angie and Jenny!!
They do offer Japanese Hair Straightening services here and I am not disappointed! For curly haired ladies like me, I have to flat iron my hair everyday but even though I know this treatment can damage hair, it saves me sooo much time to get ready. I love the feeling of it drying straight after the shower and also not to even worry about my hair curling up in all sorts of directions after a sweaty run or a workout at the gym! The stylist here at Modern Beauty did a very good job with the process. It takes about 3 hours, so plan ahead if you're thinking about getting it done. She thoroughly washed my hair before applying the solution. After it settled in for several minutes, she washed it out, blow dried it and carefully straightened every single section of hair. After that a neutralizer is applied and rinsed out. The cost of the procedure to get it done here is so much lower than expected; it was very well worth it. The aftercare must be followed to get the best results. Avoid getting your hair wet for the first 3 days and don't use any kind of hair accessory, ties or even tucking hair behind the ear. You will also notice the smell of the chemical in your hair, but it really isn't that bad. I had this done before somewhere else and remembered the horrible smell for the first week. But the smell is not too noticeable now and doesn't bother me. So highly recommend to get it done here.
The very best hair salon so far. You can actually participate in color choice. Ms Jenny and her team are just really hard working girls. And Jenny has magical hands and fingers. I love her dedication. Parking is always available. Thank you.
