“Davis Cemetery District is a cemetery burial site in Davis, CA. that has been in existence for close to 150 years. Yolo county residents receive a reduced cost for a burial plot with proof of residence and/or property taxation, those outside of the district can still utilize the services but with additional cost. Davis is now known as a college town but its historical agricultural roots run deep. This cemetery is located on what was formerly the outskirts of town surrounded by farms. There are a few fields left that haven't succumbed to the developers' bulldozers, but while the now residential neighborhood is part of bustling Davis, behind the cemetery gates lies a peaceful resting place for generations. The lush plantings, heritage trees, and grassy knolls have status as an arboretum; people can bike and walk through the grounds. When my mom passed this summer, through a circuitous set of circumstances we discovered this cemetery. It was the place that resonated as the closest to a peaceful Midwestern cemetery and honored my mom's roots. Judy was very helpful in arranging the grounds tour and site selection this summer. Available by phone, email, and in person consultation, she has an excellent manner for this difficult work with an air of earned competence and attention to detail. She helped make arrangements for the graveside burial service which we had in addition to a chapel service off-site at the funeral home. Pricing was clear and fair. There are events throughout the year including an on site art gallery, Dia de Los Muertos, and the option to have a wreath or solar lantern placed graveside at Christmas/holiday season. The historic nature of the cemetery, peaceful environment, and beautiful grounds make for a valued community resource that is available during the difficult process of death and funeral planning.“
“Kraft Brothers deserves 6 stars. They have been in business for a very, very long time and their traditional style and manner show it. Our family has used their services numerous times and we would never leave our loved ones in the care of anyone else. Thank you for what you do.“
“I’ve been buried here for the last five years. I love it. There’s so much to do here. Tuesdays is taco night! Everyone is so nice and friendly here, especially Jose the groundskeeper, he keeps everything nice and clean. I would definitely recommend Sacramento Valley National Cemetery to friends and family.“
“Rex made ordering an emotional item not so difficult. He was very professional and the results were perfect. He caught a mistake I overlooked and called to see if it needed correction. From purchase to placement at gravesite took only a few weeks.“
“Came to see the place and Jeanna and Leilena was very helpful. Outstanding customer service. Clean and highly recommended. They do care for your loved ones. Friendly staffs and good service!“
“Our family is very grateful for the service we received after the death of my husband. There was no pushy sales pitch, to talk us into services or products we didn't want. Costs were very reasonable. Krystle was very professional and caring. The transporters who came to pick up my husband were very respectful and compassionate.“

“Thank you so much to Smith Funeral Home for making this difficult journey smooth. They were very accessible, answered a lot of silly questions. We’re prompt, but mainly compassionate. Our mother who lived in Davis and wanted to go back home there, but was with me at the end made transportation to get her back home in my mind a difficult obstacle, but Smith Funeral Home made it very smooth. They were quite gracious in the middle of the night and we’re so professional!
Hugs“
