We recently visited Blackhawk Medical Group Urgent Care after my 10-year-old son had an allergic reaction, and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Dan and the entire team. Dr. Dan was incredibly caring, attentive, and compassionate throughout the visit. He took the time to carefully assess my son, explain everything clearly, and made sure we both felt calm and supported during a scary situation.
What truly stood out was Dan’s genuine concern. He even followed up with a phone call later to check on how my son was doing after the ordeal. That level of care and kindness is rare and so deeply appreciated.

Today I needed a TB test for volunteering for my kid's school. Making an appointment with Kaiser was going nowhere, but I ran across the street on my lunch break and was in and out in 5 minutes. Super nice to be able to get the easy stuff knocked out at this place, when Kaiser is too impacted.
I brought my mom here for an ear infection that wasn't getting better despite visiting another urgent care. From the moment we walked in, we noticed a stark contrast between this clinic and the other urgent care. The person at the front desk checking us in greeted us kindly and made us feel heard. The nurse practitioner we saw, Shawntel, was very patient, detailed in explanation, and very thorough. Although 2 patients were ahead of us and a few more waiting after us, she never made us feel like she was rushing to get us out. We felt like she was truly listening to what we had to say, cared for my mom's wellbeing, was extremely knowledgeable, and was patient in answering any questions. She was also considerate of the fact that my mom was paying out of pocket. Similarly, the nurse who was doing the ear lavage (Noellle) was also very patient, considerate and thorough. Shortly after we left the clinic to pick up my mom's prescription, she gave us a call to let us know that the medication is very expensive but if we were still in the area, she had coupons for us to use. This extra consideration for my mom was such a kind gesture, and a level of compassion that went above and beyond. If we are in need of urgent care again in a pinch, we will definitely come back here! Everyone was just so kind and it was so clear that they genuinely care for their patients!
