So thankful for Matt and Anna Maria. Matt has been a life saver with behavior modification with my sweet girl Cocoa. Cocoa is a hyper-vigilant rescue pit, with a few social challenges. Matt not only was able to with patience and professionalism, earn her trust, and help with her behaviors, he was also able to teach me, ways to manage when she and I are in the wild. He is very hands on, and teaches key fundamentals when handling a dog, and working with the world around them.

I literally on multiple occasions have been able to handle situations without panic and stress due to Matt’s training. Cocoa also has been managing her stress better as well. You are equipped with the knowledge literally after just one session, the most rewarding thing is seeing the transformation in Cocoa.
She has come such a long way.

One of our dogs was reactive, and its now much easier to bring him on walks as well as have visitors to our home. The other was quite skittish which made training on our own tricky. “Highly recommended! I had the puppy blues and was completely overwhelmed with where to start and what to do. Our puppy was very difficult to walk, biting, and all around puppy-like (of course!) but it was leaving me overwhelmed. We signed up for Puppy Kindergarten and it made a huge difference. By the end of the session you have all the tools you need to keep the training going on your own. For me, it was helpful to have accountability with the class environment. “Due to a last minute logistical error, we took our furry babies to Venice Dog Boarding. It was our first time leaving our babies here so we were very apprehensive, but from the moment we met Jan, my wife felt so much better and our dogs were very relaxed. Our babies were well taken care of, Jan was very nice and took very good care of them. You can tell she loves dogs. We will definitely be leaving our furry babies in her care from now on.“

We rescued a 10 month old puppy this spring and added her to our family with two other dogs and a cat.

Within the first week we discovered our new member was extremely anxious (she escaped once and was gone for hours), was up through the night and not housebroken. This prompted us to connect with Dee where we collaborated on our goals together, and set our focus on reducing anxiety, potty and crate training, and teaching hand signals to keep our pup from bolting out the door.

Two months later, we are THRILLED to report that our puppy’s anxiety levels are down dramatically, she is 99% potty trained, fully crate trained and sleeping through the night and not a single attempt at an escape. An added bonus is seeing the benefit all of this has had on our other dogs and how quickly the puppy and cat were able to integrate.

We did our meetings with Dee over FaceTime, starting at 3 to 4 times a week, and naturally decreasing as Dee’s program was so effective. Dee is extremely knowledgeable, provides clear instruction, and has a way of explaining situations from a dog’s perspective that makes it easy to understand the interventions.

Scheduling time with her was easy. We greatly appreciated her being firm about following guidelines because it kept us on track. However, she is also understanding and flexible when we expressed needing adjustments based on our own lifestyle or goals for our family.

We have a calm and cohesive family and are beyond grateful for Dee who was integral in this process.“
