“When I first came to Mandy, I was hobbling around, constantly in pain from a compound fracture and dislocation of my ankle a year and a half prior. I was desperate for help after traditional physical therapy wasn't giving me everything I needed. While it helped me regain a lot of ankle mobility, it was not helping with the pain and pushing me the way I needed. Upon seeing Mandy for our first consultation, I felt better that day. I felt better not just because she did some exercises with me to help with some immediate pain relief, but also because I know that I had found the coach I needed to push me to get back to feeling myself. My case is a little bit different in terms of the complexity of my injury/recovery, but that did not deter Mandy at all. Within two months of working diligently with Mandy on pain management, I no longer had the intense nerve pain that I had coming into her office (after struggling with the nerve pain for a year and a half!). Her willingness to push me to become stronger has also helped me feel more confident to push my limits knowing she's always there to help me if something started hurting again. After three months, I am in a totally different place than when I first started seeing her. When I first started seeing her I was barely even walking on park grass for fear of hurting myself. Now I'm going on small hikes and practicing running again. Unfortunately I have to have another surgery on my ankle for reasons out of our control, but I am starting out stronger for this surgery than before. I am beyond grateful to know that I'll have Mandy to help me come back even stronger post surgery. I honestly tear up when I think about how much finding Mandy has meant for my quality of life. “I came to Dr Mel in constant pain in the muscle area of one side of my back. I had already visited several doctors and chiropractors for the problem. Dr. Mel was so good and evaluating my problem and determined correctly the cause and source of the pain. Dr. Mel created a personalized treatment plan that really worked. He used a special type of ultrasound, Electrical stem, a quick deep massage and a wonderful traction machine. I always left his office feeling so much better and with each visit I got so much better, I began visiting less often and finally I not at all.
