Fast Forward: Spoke with Nick and he immediately put me at ease by letting me know he could save the info on my hard drive (feel that breeze? It's me finally exhaling after a l-o-n-g night). I drove to Nick's - what a nice guy! SUPER intelligent and very down to earth about his incredible talents. I don't want to divulge "trade secrets" (capes, magic wands, etc.), but he really did magically get my laptop working, provided me with a robust external hard drive that he built right in front of me (CRAZY!!), repaired the inside (SUPER techy stuff), cleaned out the inside (ahem, I have 3 cats and their hair gets in EVERYWHERE, evidently), and ran some double-triple checks on it. Voilà! My laptop is as good as new! Just, like, that...
