“Extremely pleased with Mike, Kevin and the crew at Specialty One! We have a forward facing balcony that leaked into our garage during heavy rains. We are painting the house so we needed this project tackled beforehand. Mike came by first to look at the job and gave us a very detailed quote range, explaining all variables so there weren't any surprise extra charges (they really couldn't tell HOW bad the damage was until they got in there). We also explained that we would like to have the balcony completed before we had our new windows installed, and they were able to accommodate our request. The only negative - and it's no fault of Specialty One's - was that they had to do the repairs in small spurts because it was during the brutal heat wave that we had at beginning of the month. If any step of the repair was rushed they risked having to redo the prior step, and we appreciated them explaining the reasons rather than just leaving us hanging.“

He is pragmatic and realistic but also willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. He was able to anticipate problems and always had a clear and well organized schedule and order of operations, and good planning really made a project like this much more tolerable. Whenever there were snags, which are inevitable in construction, he made a clear path forward without compromising quality. It's clear that over the years he has collected some of the best direct employees as well as subcontractors. Shout out to Joaquin and Miguel, who not only did excellent work for things like demo, framing, and finishing touches, but every night they would always take the time to vacuum and wash the hallway to our bathroom so we could still live in a clean house for the duration of the project. I have a pretty critical eye, and could tell from the start that Alon did too, which was confirmed as he would often see the same things I did, so I rarely needed to even mention little things that needed to be perfected. We really couldn't be any happier...if you want a construction project done right, use GTC!“
