“Five stars, no doubt! I had fallen out of my fitness routine and was feeling weaker than I had in my adult life. With zero experience in Pilates (but having heard great things about the benefits), I set out on a round of trials with my best (and more experienced!) friend. She and I both chose to sign up for the annual membership here and I'm confident that I made the right choice, for several reasons. Staff is awesome and always warm and helpful. The teachers at Formation are great. They're knowledgeable and professional, and after months of taking classes with each of them, I really appreciate the collective rounding of the teaching staff. I can see clearly that no matter your fitness goals, there is enough variation in style and intensity that this studio can is sure to help you fulfill them. The number of classes offered daily is a huge advantage and the studio itself is fantastic. “I've been going to Pilates with Passion for over 10 years (with some breaks due to illness). Kelly is smart, fit, and very knowledgeable as well as a great instructor. She works at your skill level and makes accommodations for any special needs. Kelly helped me to lose 50lbs after 9 months of high dose steroids, to recover after a hip replacement, and regain motion and strength after two disc replacements and a second hip surgery. Plus Pilates is fun, graceful, and challenging. (I tried several classes at Club Pilates and there is so much more to it than what they teach, plus they don't teach you the core ideas or the ways to be safe. One of the moves they had my class do was not a traditional Pilates manoeuvre and I actually fractured my T11 vertebra while trying to do it. There's a reason the classes are cheaper.) “I have been going to Kathy Demac for 15 years. She is a master Pilates instructor, trained by the top people. She is also a certified Yoga therapist and certified Gyrotonic specialist. She operates out of her gorgeous studio in Agoura Hills. She is an expert in the human body. She can work with you based on your needs. You want to get ripped--she can do that. If you have medical issues, she has the knowledge and the intuition to know exactly what you need to improve, get stronger, and most importantly--not hurt you. I had experiences prior to her where the expert was not trained well enough and I got injured--but never with Kathy. She is also the sweetest and nicest person around. Best thing I ever did for my body was to continue to see her. She can see people individually or in duos. She sanitizes after every client and I feel very safe there. I finally got my husband to do too and now he won't stop. He is stronger and in better shape than when he went to the gym.“
