So we had a underground water leak that one plumbing company said that in order to fix it, they needed to put down a new main line from the meter to the house. They bid $9500 for it. I called Greg after doing a little research and he was busy but after looking at the pictures said I could probably do it myself with a couple parts from the hardware store. He told me exactly what to get and exactly what to do, in great detail I might add. After the fix, I turned the water back on and guess what? NO MORE UNDERGROUND LEAK! It cost me $16 at the hardware store. Greg potentially saved me $9484. This guy is now my goto plumber. If I could give him 16 million stars for this review, I would! Really stoked to have an honest plumber to call on that honestly wants to help you, not help themselves!
I hired Stellar Tree Care to take down two hazardous oaks, thin a redwood grove that had a few smaller trees that were starting to become top heavy, and take down a large redwood that was very near to my house. Ron responded to my call quickly, had him out the next day, got his advice on what should be taken down, and he gave an estimate for the time required to complete the work, and we agreed on a price. They started their next business day and the work has gone very smoothly. The large redwood was right above my house and up against a neighbor's fence but the entire thing was taken down cleanly and without damaging any of the neighboring trees, the fence, or the propane and septic tanks below it. Probably most impressive was the cleanup, parts of my yard look dramatically better than they did before I hired them. For the quality of work done, the scale of the job, and the high skill Ron and his crew demonstrated while working, I felt this was money very well spent. He charges per day, and for me this was a more flexible model for figuring out the work that would fit within my budget. I can't recommend Ron enough, and we'll have him and his crew back soon enough.

As I was doing another review this one popped up. I read it again. The LAST LINE - I meant to say "I dont believe they are priced UNFAIRLY." They are not. I have referred them to all my friends and family for water delivery, rock delivery, grading, etc. Sorry about that!
Barb and Tiff both cut my hair, depending on who is available. I'm always pleased with the cut. Barb is great about squeezing me in with my last minute calls for an appointment. The shop is a comfortable no stress environment.
John is a smart, creative, and talented craftsman. He rebuilt 3 historic windows on my lil cabin. They look exactly the same as before, but new lumber and glazing.He always has great solutions for these lil custom cabins all through Boulder Creek. He can also install, replace with new doors and windows. I highly recommend John for any door or window work.
I was looking for a vintage music console for over 2 years and finally found one in Boulder Creek (who would have thought). We stopped by Swag in December and saw a beautiful Grundig Majestic. Jeff, the owner is very knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. I called him the next morning to order the console. After paying a deposit Jeff starts on restoring everything, the amplifier, the original turntable and the cabinet. My console was 4th in line (meaning 3 customers had bought before me and their consoles were restored first). Jeff always kept me in the loop about progress and once he started working on my Grundig sent me update videos. I picked it up last week, not even 6 weeks after the deposit payment. Honestly didn't expect it to be that fast. I am totally happy. She is a beauty, sounds amazing and really fits well into our space. Thanks Jeff! I'm so glad I found your Swag shop. And there is also a great selection of jewelry.
Julie is an amazing acupuncturist . Her treatments have been life changing for me. I am so grateful for her care and attention. The office is one of those cool feel good places to be. The treatment rooms are like private little spaces for reflection and relaxation.
I just finished a kitchen/ dining remodel and it looks fabulous. I found Jen and Joe on Thumbtack. I could not find them on Yelp and was skeptical at first but my experience was wonderful! Jen had great design ideas and offered lots of suggestions about paint colors and palettes. The prices were reasonable and I liked the fact that everything was so transparent. I could see line item material and labor costs, and Jen checked in nearly every day about scheduling. Joe did a careful job, kept me up to date on what to expect, and did professional, quality work. Plus, I got free design consultation and used it to redesign my fireplace. Joe reframed and tiled it. It is now the centerpiece of the living room. My situation was unusual in that I had to move my 2 bonded bunnies out of the kitchen/dining area for the work. And, I was going to be traveling across the country during some of the job. No worries. I gave Joe a house key, he brought treats for my dog every day, and did excellent tile work. I came home to a beautiful clean kitchen/dining area and fireplace. I highly recommend California Custom Painting and Design. They really make a potentially messy redo a positive experience!

I highly recommend Sonya at Phoenix Esthetics Studio! I have never cared for my skin the way I should have and it shows after my visit with Sonya. She really worked her magic and my skin has never been more vibrant, clear and nourished. I had problematic areas around my nose and chin that I didn’t think could be resolved. GUESS WHAT - she did it. I am still in disbelief of the difference just 1 visit made. Definitely going back. In addition to the amazing results her atmosphere and energy are great. I felt so relaxed and pampered in her studio. If you haven’t yet - you should go see her!

I started pilates with Tammy three years ago when I was struggling with injuries, arthritis and chronic pain. Three years later I have prehabbed and rehabbed a hip replacement, and prehabbed a recent knee replacement. I can’t stress enough the positive difference it has made in my recovery from a difficult surgery, and in my physical well being in everyday life. Tammy is relentless in her attention to detail in form and safety, while challenging each client to find their maximum effort. She has decades of experience teaching the pilates method, and it shows. My balance and core strength are better than they have been in years. I would recommend Tammy to anyone from athletes and dancers to those struggling with physical limitations. We have had SE Electric work on 3 different projects since 2019. Shane and his crew have installed transfer switches, wiring and outlets and lately fixed our damaged panel, but not before getting home hard to find parts and making room for us in his busy schedule. His pricing has always been very fair and himself and his crew have been friendly and professional every time.
These Arborist were professional and knowledgeable on how some of the trees I had trimmed. I was concerned with open spaces from the road and they discussed options on how they could trim the trees to keep privacy. I also had a tree taken down close to the house without a worry. After they were done they cleaned up my deck from the debris and area the worked on. Highly recommend. Thanks Nick, Ben and crew

I'm husband and I have been going here for nearly 20 years for teeth cleaning's, cavity fillings, crowns and our kid's dental work. We all have had great experiences. Dr. Johnson and his staff always make sure we get the needed attention, handles insurance efficiently, and always keeps the costs down and never try to get me to do unnecessary work. I tried other dentists for a couple of years when my insurance changed, but was able to go back when I upgraded my insurance and Dr. Johnson was kind enough to fix some shoddy work that had been done in the other office. He's the nicest guy, full of stories to keep you entertained and distracted from whatever brings you to the dentist!

Don Rudger is brilliant. He got me out of a very difficult situation. His diligence and persistence, especially with Covid epidemic, have been nothing but but first class. I'd made an appointment with CAS--who had a quick response time, btw--hoping to see someone who knew wavy hair, having had wonderful prior experiences. My expectations were exceeded by Rebecca, who was super friendly as well as attentive. I forget to give my stylists warning about my thick hair, but she gave me and my hair her full attention. She ended up curling my hair after my trim, which, before today, I don't think I've ever seen in my hair because it can be an undertaking. Her vibe was so friendly and personal, even though I tend to be an introverted client. Again, Rebecca knows wavy hair and provides amazing service. Thanks, girlie
