Pet Boarding Training near Altadena

“We recently switched to Altadena pet hospital for our two dogs and two cats and we really love it. We used to go to a vet in echo park that while they had so many five star reviews, it felt like everytime we went we were seeing new doctors and having to re-explain our pets medical history. It also always felt like they cared more about the money than the well being of our pets. Dr. Sahi is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our cat has some chronic health issues and he has been very attentive with him - researching alternative treatment routes and finding the right path for him. He also will only recommend something if it's truly worth doing for your pet, rather than trying to upsell you unnecessary or risky treatment. They are a small town vet, so the waiting room is small, parking lot is small, and sometimes there is a longer wait to see the doctor - but I've always experienced great customer service and a super friendly staff. Anytime I call I am on hold for no more than a few minutes if at all - which is very rare for vets in this area. One of our dogs is also very nervous and dog reactive. They said he can wait in the car until his appointment time and then use the side entrance to avoid seeing other pups which we love. I talked to a few folks in the waiting room and one couple had been coming there for 13 years, and the other couple 10 years. That was a huge selling point for us!“

“This is a wonderful place to board your pet. It's clean and has many play areas and the staff is very nice. I turned in the paperwork in advance so everything ran quick and smoothly the day I brought in by dog. They even provide the food with no extra charge. Pick up was also very quick and easy. He came out happy. Thanks for taking care of Kona.“

“Our dog, Booker needed a bath, grooming, and some TLC. We stayed one night at the Pasadena Hotel and came across LA Pet Home on our midnight walk. We came by in the morning where they had a 10:00 opening. Fatih was personable, caring, and gentle with Booker! He took his time with Booker to make sure that he was comfortable! Fatih did an amazing and wonderful job! And Booker was definitely a pleased and happy camper!

“We have two chihuahua mix rescues who have both benefited greatly from their training with Alexandra. One of our dogs was reactive, and its now much easier to bring him on walks as well as have visitors to our home. The other was quite skittish which made training on our own tricky. Alexandra really helped us navigate his needs and build up his confidence. Both of our dogs are more confident and much better citizens since they started training. Also, while we originally did training in person and weren't quite sure how well virtual training would go, Alexandra navigates Zoom training remarkably and we don't feel like we're losing anything from not having in-person sessions.“

“Jenina is so incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and professional--I would recommend her to anyone who needs help training their puppy or adult dog. We did the 4 session in-home training with our 2-year-old chihuahua/dachshund mix, who is very reactive and not friendly to new people. Jenina taught us and modeled certain commands and then we had the opportunity to try them on and get feedback so we were performing them properly. She was also so calm and patient throughout our sessions. Jenina provided us with helpful handouts to continue training, as it requires daily training on the owners part to ensure the skills are truly learned. We are incredibly grateful for her guidance and knowledge as it has made our dog much more secure and us more confident dog owners.“

He got tons of stimulation—between playing with the other dogs and all the exercise she gave him; he came home happy and tired in the best way. “It's never easy to make the decision to render the ultimate act of love for our pets. Eventually, we come face to face with that reality. Two days ago, we came to that realization for our 12 year old cocker spaniel, Teddy. Over the past few months, we watched him start his decline and helping us along the way was doctor Pershing. Her counsel and expertise were appreciated by us as Teddy showed increased signs of dementia and weight loss. In the end, Dr. Pershing was there for us on the phone and at the last goodbye to our little man. We are grateful to her for her concern for Teddy and us. I am also thankful and appreciative of Barbara in the front office who was compassionate and caring to us during this difficult morning. Rest In Peace Teddy aka Boo.“

“Oliver used to go to doggy daycare and sleep ALL DAY. Now he gets picked up and goes for a hike with various buddies - and I get a picture as proof. He's always grinning like a fool, as are his friends. He's clearly having a blast. Aly is the BEST and he adores her (I've seen them together) and she is good enough to get the prickles and foxtails off him after the hike. Then he's wiped out for the rest of the day. Can't say enough good things about them.“

“This is a really great place to take your canine or feline to get vaccinated, a wellness checkup or microchipped. Something I think is really cool is how you can get many vaccines plus deworming in a bundle & it decreases the pricing versus if you were to get them individually. I have a long hair chihuahua girl that's mixed with papillon. Small breed dog. So as you can imagine I wasn't able to go with the dog shield pro. However they recommended the dog shield bundle to me; which I went with & will be paying for 3 more vaccines but individually sometime soon. Very friendly employees ! Everyone there appears to be happy which is great! My pooch now has majority of her vaccines plus has been dewormed and I am very happy I'm looking forward to her being FULLY vaccinated & then lastly, spayed“
