“From the moment I met Vlasta, I knew he was the professional to redo my driveway. He's hardworking, fair priced, an excellent businessman, and a super nice person. I spent two years interviewing companies to redo my driveway. Yes, it's excessive, but it also yielded the absolute best craftsman in the Bay Area for the job. I don't give compliments like this easily. In fact, I'm usually disappointed by workmanship because I have unusually high standards, but Vlasta is one of the best masons I've ever seen. My driveway had sunk over the years due to the sand in the soil. A regular car couldn't get into my garage, only a four-wheel drive. So, the old concrete driveway had to go and pavers were put in its place. On top of the driveway, the path going to the front porch was hideous and didn't make it all the way to the steps. My neighbor and I had to use full stones in order to not step into dirt or mud on the way up the stairs. Not anymore!Since the driveway needed a four inch lift to make it level, I thought I'd need a step down to the walkway like my neighbor's step from the driveway to the path. Vlasta worked a miracle and seamlessly blended the driveway into the walkway with only a slight slope that isn't noticeable. He's a genius! Curves and lines were completely unexpected and made the whole walkway a thing of beauty. The driveway has drainage ports so I don't have to worry about rain. The pattern and stones are so lovely to behold that I almost can't drive on it because I'm so distracted by how gorgeous it is. I was so impressed by Vlasta and his crew that I've hired them to redo my front porch in Trex. Wish they worked inside too!!If you want quality workmanship for stones, Trex or landscaping, you will not find better workmanship than Vlasta and Boomerang.“
“Paul is very responsive to the requests and questions. He showed up exactly on time for the appointment. Later I asked some questions with text messages and he replied promptly and patiently. When I almost decided to install real grass at the backyard, he remind me of the trees that would make it difficult to grow and maintain the grass. For some other reasons, we postponed the project to a later date. I will definitely contact him again when we do the project.“

“Brian and Noe did a masterful job on both our front and back yards! The end product was more beautiful and more serene than we ever could have imagined. We’ve gone from never using our backyard to using it daily. Our front yard was an eye sore and now it brightens up the entire block - we especially love the gorgeous paver walkway they built which brings us joy each time we use it. Brian’s pricing is slightly higher than others we had contacted but it was well worth it!We had read many reviews about Brian’s “organic” process and though we were a little skeptical, we got the sense that he was very experienced and a true craftsman and decided to go with him, and we're so glad we did. He has a great sense for how to design a space, balancing form and function. His experience also allows him to bring a calm and a confidence in his ideas, which he used to skillfully guide the process. There were a couple times where we had wanted to interject a point of view that would have resulted in a less nice end product, and Brian was great at hearing us out, but also gently guiding us in a better direction.Finally, here are a few of the things we really appreciated:- The ability to weigh in some design choices (e.g. pavers, turf, etc), but those choices being limited so that we were choosing between better and best- The flexibility that the “organic” process allows for (we went back and forth on the backyard water feature and in the end decided to go with it + we added add’l lighting that wasn’t in the original proposal)- The speed with which he and Noe completed the work - the whole thing was done in < 6 weeks- The handover walk through and accompanying plant map and instructions, which gave us some pride of ownership- Brian’s responsiveness to our follow up questions after the job was completed“

They were good at working around the city issues (busy street, street cleaning, city restrictions etc.) The crew who came to do the trimming was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating.“

“REROUTING OF DOWNSPOUT. In our 60+-year-old house the water no longer flowed from our gutter properly but flooded an area within our carport. We rigged a makeshift way to carry it off, but this meant going out every time it rained, to place a temporary discharge pipe.Miguel Lopez, who is both knowledgeable and friendly, came and quickly changed the direction of the runoff and effectively solved our problem. “We are delighted with Racheal's work. We had to do a major re-do of the front of our house, which involved multiple contractors and subcontractors and lots of moving parts. She met with us several times to learn the scope of the plan and what we wanted. She was flexible, and came up with ways to save us money when her bid came in too high. She listened to our preferences and designed a garden we really like. She also designed stonework, and her crew did a magnificent job with a stacked flagstone retaining wall including a short staircase, a patio and a walkway. She has a rare combination of creativity and professionalism. We highly recommend Racheal and Fiddlehead Gardens.“

“I'm not sure if the reviewer before me was referring to the same Hollis Landscaping... my friend recommended John and his team to me and they have been incredible with our yard!! We can't afford too much aside from monthly maintenance and we did a backyard upgrade with lots of new shrubs, new path, and groundcover. I cannot say enough good things about them. John got back to me right away with very reasonable estimates. His workers show up as they are scheduled-- right on time. The prices are very good and we are so happy we hired them to help maintain our yard. They are also very friendly. John is an exceptional landscaper so he had great suggestions within our budget. Highly highly recommend giving him a call or shooting him an email (he emails as well as returns calls). They have made a huge difference in the appearance of our home!“
