“We have used Drips and Drains for plumbing work (three times) and heating (twice).

Our first experience was when we wanted our thermostat replaced and our furnace checked. Another company came by for a look and said that the former would be difficult and expensive and as for the furnace... the furnace needed a new $5,000 component. Ouch! So we asked Drips and Drains to drop by. Their guy replaced the thermostat quickly and cheaply. But as for the furnace - alas, they said that the first guy was right. And I knew that the furnace's warranty had expired many many years before. Goodbye $5,000! Only not quite: a few days later the Drips and Drains guy phoned and said that in his experience the manufacturer stood behind its products regardless of warranty ... and so he'd called them and yes, they'd provide the component for free. A few days later two Drips and Drain guys came by and installed it. Installation cost, a few hundred dollars.

As you might guess, we've used them ever since. Always satisfied with the job and the price.“

“Great company to work hire. I had water coming in my basement form an unknown source. Blair responded quickly and walked me through all possibilities on site. Sadly the source was not my drains but rather a leaky exterior faucet. Again excellent service, prompt response and showed up earlier than expected! I will definitely be calling back to schedule regular maintenance. Oh and did I mention that he inspected and cleaned out some down spouts as a means to eliminate that as a possibility for the leak? “We had a perimeter drainage blockage, which partially flooded the garage. I called Carlo, and he promptly returned my call. A few days later he came to assess the problem and quickly identified it. He returned the next day , dug a hole and located the the broken part of the drainage system and fixed it. “It seems unusual that there are so many 5 star reviews but I found out those stars were well deserved. Derek gave a very quick response to either remove or replace an insinkerator that had failed. He is a friendly guy who knows what he is doing and does it quickly. He replaced our insinkerator for the same cost as a larger local company quoted to just remove it. Definitely a good decision on my part.“

“I contacted Cambie Plumbing & Heating about a minor gas leak in my natural gas stovetop range in our new-ish condo.

The office admin was kind and helpful, and provided a convenient and prompt time slot for a gas fitter to come by. The fitter was on-time, professional, COVID-conscious, and worked quickly and efficiently. He also patiently answered my questions and detailed what to expect in the invoice before he left. They replaced a faulty regulator at lower-than-market cost, and the labour costs were in-line with what they detailed on their website. The office admin even remembered my name and other personal details from a recent trip I had mentioned.

“Narinder was able to help us fix a faulty shut off valve and a fill valve. The shut off valve ended up being a little trouble, and narinder was able to quickly fix the shut off valve so we didn't have to go a day without water. He was quick, fast, and really affordable. Will be the only plumber I call. On Sunday night he came in 20 minutes, and again was super affordable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended, 10 stars.“

“It is with pleasure that I write this review to acknowledge a company that did a complete replacement of our domestic water pipe system as well as replacing our complete heating system. This was a one stop shopping experience. All aspects of this project, cutting of drywall, installation of new pipes, closure of walls and ceilings, plaster, paint and everything in between, all handled by the in-house employees. This meant that from day one to the final completion there was only one company to deal with. “When the gardeners in our townhouse complex accidentally cut my gas line while trimming the hedge, Tony and Paulo came to my rescue. Tony was very kind and reassuring on our initial phone call and Paulo came to the house that same day to ensure I would still have gas for the hot water tank and furnace. Paulo removed the damaged gas line (to the gas fireplace) and returned two days later to install the new one. I feel both men were very thoughtful and thorough and generally cared about getting everything back to normal for me quickly and safely. Great job. Great work ethic. Great people.“

“We had a leak from the wax seal in the toilet in our condo. We called them and they booked us in a time for 2 days hence, with a 2 hour window for arrival. Phablo was professional, courteous, and wonderful to deal with. He estimated the work before beginning, explained the process to us, and completed the work on schedule.I have only two other comments: this service was very good, but commensurately expansive; the schedule called for a technician to arrive in a 2 hour window, and the in this case he arrived after that window - perhaps regular text updates would beat sitting at home for this duration of time?Thank you Phablo!
