He was very helpful in selecting a good tank and was meticulous in the installation. He did not rush the installation but was focused on doing a good job. He was very punctual, courteous and respectful. His pricing was very competitive and he stuck to his quoted price. I would recommend him and will call him next time I need mechanical work.“

The office admin was kind and helpful, and provided a convenient and prompt time slot for a gas fitter to come by. The fitter was on-time, professional, COVID-conscious, and worked quickly and efficiently. He also patiently answered my questions and detailed what to expect in the invoice before he left. They replaced a faulty regulator at lower-than-market cost, and the labour costs were in-line with what they detailed on their website. The office admin even remembered my name and other personal details from a recent trip I had mentioned.
Will definitely be calling Cambie Plumbing + Heating for any additional plumbing issues or gas leaks, provided our home hasn't exploded.“

1636 W 75th Ave, Vancouver“I had Reid Brothers come for a maintenance service after 3 years. I should point out that I have been using them since 2005 if not before, and have not had any complaints about their work. The bill was $281: Full service and inspection: $184; Travel $89; filter $14.76 and taxes. At the time I had received a brochure from another company offering a "special" at $150. but I prefer "the devil I know." This charge for "travel time" is a gimmick that all companies [at least the ones I have dealt with] all have. I would have thought it was the cost of doing business. I could understand if the technician had to drive in from say, Abbotsford or wherever, but from within Vancouver? Leo's Plumbing charged over $100 the last time he came, and his shop is 5 minutes from my house! I just wish they would list the travel-time cost on their website. Their scheduling leaves something to be desired, but they are no worse than other companies. First they told me they would come on the given day between 2-4 pm. The day before i received a garbled message saying they would come between 11.30 - 2 pm. I phoned to check and the person said between 9 -12. I tried to explain that I had received this garbled message about 11.30, but she didn't want to know, and in a very peremptory voice bordering on rudeness said my time was between 9-12. I must confess my blood boiled at her rude tone, but I let it pass. The technician arrived at 11 am. He was the same person who had previously worked on my furnace, and I think even the time before. I like this continuity. He was excellent. If you can find a company whose work you like AND can be more precise in their scheduling I would grapple them "to your heart with bonds of steel." I think offering a window of half a day --worse still if they change it-- is playing fast and loose with the customer. so, all -in-all I do recommend Reid Brothers.“

Their rep came by right away to assess what we needed, sent pricing and booked the service. The team arrived on schedule to install the portable AC units that kept our equipment cool during the shutdown. Exact same experience on removal service - on time and super-efficient. Thank you to the team at Cool Air Rentals for making our experience an excellent one!“

Tried to turn on the fireplace but it seemed that there was no gas flowing?! Cue an email to Jane, who immediately calls to try and troubleshoot. Alas her work-arounds didn't work so she routed one of the service lads to us. Once here, he pleasantly went to work and in little time (not even 45 minutes) had it up and running! So many many thanks for such fast, friendly, professional service. All toasty warm in front of the fire! James“

The owner Barney is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I have found his quotes to be fair and his team always professional and congenial and the work they have done for me always impeccable. Just last week they completed an AC system install for my family. Justin, Chris and Alex were on this job. The work was completed nice and neatly and on time! All works well. The worksite always kept clean. Thanks Kirkland !“

Leo was quick to find me the part, decent prices too. Much appreciated, just fixed the broken sink pipe thanks to you. Was in and out within 5 minutes in the store, very knowledgeable and provided advice on how to install without even being asked. Thank you LEO.“

“We have used Drips and Drains for plumbing work (three times) and heating (twice).
Our first experience was when we wanted our thermostat replaced and our furnace checked. Another company came by for a look and said that the former would be difficult and expensive and as for the furnace... the furnace needed a new $5,000 component. Ouch! So we asked Drips and Drains to drop by. Their guy replaced the thermostat quickly and cheaply. But as for the furnace - alas, they said that the first guy was right. And I knew that the furnace's warranty had expired many many years before. Goodbye $5,000! Only not quite: a few days later the Drips and Drains guy phoned and said that in his experience the manufacturer stood behind its products regardless of warranty ... and so he'd called them and yes, they'd provide the component for free. A few days later two Drips and Drain guys came by and installed it. Installation cost, a few hundred dollars.
As you might guess, we've used them ever since. Always satisfied with the job and the price.“
