“My wife and I just completed a major repair renovation of the downstairs of our townhouse, which was just originally built in the early 90s. Graeme Huguet leads this company. The professionalism of My House was well known to us as we had seen the tremendous work on renovations they performed on a house belonging to our close friends. The project manager led us thru the various planning stages and thru the cumbersome but necessary process of obtaining a building permit thru the City. All was explained in advance and was completed within time and within budget. There were no surprises.Our construction manager, Bruno, was fantastic and was quick to see an opportunity to install a beam that would open up our living area more than we thought possible. We are extremely happy with the results of the renovation project. Our home receives many compliments by visitors and we love how much more we are enjoying our living space.“

Our deck was repaired before the new surface was applied and the team did a lot of extras along the way. They delivered everything promised and then some. A year after install we had an issue with 1 of the rails and a piece of glass and they repaired everything promptly and without added cost. “We planned to design a feature wall with an electric fireplace and TV mounted. Among all the teams that visited us and provided us the schedule and quote, George was the only one who could earn our trust to engage him in this project. I sketched our design in AutoCAD and provided George the layout and dimensions. He spent more than 90 minutes in his first visit to go over the design and clarify all dimensions of the project. Then he gave us his business card indicating “Affordable”, “Reliable”, “Professional”. After he completed the project, we not only can endorse him for being reasonable, reliable, and professional but also we would like to add that he is precise and punctual. He delivered the project a few days before the deadline which have met all our expectations. “The owner of Rug and Remnants, Ed, is an amazing guy with a fantastic selection of flooring and carpets with amazing pricing. We used his company a few years back to have some carpet and floors installed. We had an issue with his contractor, Rodney and his crew, that was sent over to us. They installed the carpets flawlessly but ruined the flooring causing us thousands of dollars in repairs. After several tradesmen said "Who did this to your floor?", we wrote a review of our experience with Rodney. It hadn't mattered how long it had been since the floor had been installed, Ed came over immediately to asses the floors and offered to get them fixed. We highly recommended Rug and Remnants for Ed and his kind, knowledgeable and courteous staff but would not recommend Rodney as a contractor“

“Had a leak, but the problem was bigger than that; the previous roofing company had installed all the vents wrong which means that there were possibly more than one leak. I called these guys and they came right away. They found the problem and fixed all the vents in the same visit. I am grateful for their high quality service at very reasonable prices. “We undertook a major renovation with Mariposa Homes based on a word-of-mouth recommendation. Jason and Ben have been trustworthy, responsive, and hand-on and we would not hesitate to work with them again on our next project. Given they work as a team, we appreciated the strength in numbers - it was like having two general contractors in one. They were detail oriented - for example, Jason noticed some finishing work that wasn't up to his standard and I didn't even have to ask about it - he had asked for it to be redone. They were also organized - every two weeks, Ben had an invoice copy printed and ready for our records. They also led a group of professional sub-contractors to complete our renovation and produce quality finishing work.
