“A great place for laser hair removal and electrolysis! I wanted to write a review a very long time ago, but never got around to it, so here is my story now...Approximately 7 years ago, I was searching for knowledgeable and friendly staff to help rid me of unwanted body hair. I took this very seriously since it involved my skin and was a lot of money for me to spend on something that wasn't a necessity. I searched around and narrowed it down to a handful. After meeting with South Granville Laser, I felt so much more informed of my options and found the staff to be very easy going and genuine in their manner. In the end, it was an easy choice and I ended up choosing them and coming in for the appointments spread out over one year until all the hair on my legs, armpits and bikini area were gone. I believe it was 8 sessions. They were obviously very experienced and professional the entire time and I was grateful to have chosen them. All these years later, the hair has not returned :-) Every once in a while I will notice a random, very light, very thin hair appear, however it is so minimal that I barely make the effort to pluck it out as soon as I see it. haha. Recently, my husband decided to get his back done and of course, I took him to South Granville for a consultation. Can you believe it? The staff remembered me! haha! He liked what he heard, but still he wanted to shop around himself. In the end, their great attitude and extensive experience won him over too. He has given me positive feedback since he started his sessions and I know he is happy with his choice. The last of my review involves the electrolysis on my chin that I chose to do this year. I guess they were bound to show up sooner or later. grrrr. :-P I went in for a consultation in trying to determine if laser hair removal or electrolysis would be the best option for me. Since my chin hairs were coming in very light in colour, electrolysis was the best option. Plus it was so inexpensive! The technician who did the work on me turned out to have decades of experience and was very friendly. So far so good with the procedure. All in all, I have never had any issues of any kind with this company and have always left either laughing or with a smile on my face. A great place to feel at ease and take care of unwanted hairs!“

“I suffer with osteoarthritis and for the second time in 10 years, Timely Medical Alternatives has helped me get me health back after Alberta Healthcare failed me. In 2012 I needed back surgery for laminectomy with fusion. For 2 years I went through all the hoops; chiropractor, acupuncture, PT, working with a nuerologist, and even after an MRI diognosed my problem I was refused as a surgical patient. Timely Medical helped me find a surgical hospital in the States to fix my back problem. It's been 10 years and my lower back has been painfree since my surgery. Then, last year my hip gave out on me and I was sent to the Calgary Hip and Knee clinic. In July I was approved for a new hip, however the wait time was 1 to 1 1/2 years down the line. I thought I could wait, but in October the pain was so severe that I couldn't sleep, sit or walk my dog. Timely Medical again helped me find a surgical hospital in the U.S. to replace my hip. My hip surgery was in January and I am walking farther now than I have since last summer. When it comes to urgency our social medicine works well. But I feel that if our medical condition is not serious like cancer or heart disease, we are put on a long wait list or denied proper help all together. “In my humble opinion, Tricia Lovegrove is the best therapeutic/healing RMT in Vancouver. There are many licensed RMTs in Vancouver but she truly has a gift - a wide range of skills and unique "seeing hands" that locate the source of your issue quickly. My treatments with her are cost-effective (because so few are needed to solve my problems) and highly productive. It will often take a week for me before I assess that my issue will not go away with home treatment before I schedule an appt with her. After the appointment, my concerns are typically solved or I need only 1 or 2 more treatments. On occasion, because of distance, I sought treatment elsewhere only to have to schedule a follow-up with Tricia.My concerns have ranged from: head/neck pain and headaches; arm/shoulder pain and carpal-tunnel like sensations; lower back pain and IT band tightness. I am an office worker who cycles a lot and spend quite a bit of time in a forward/hunched position. I am really glad to have discovered Tricia's practice.I want to highlight a few ways to get the most out of your treatments and to set your expectations. First, although I have never sought Tricia out for a relaxing experience, I imagine with clear communication you can get a spa-like massage as her skill range is wide. What I am looking for is effectiveness and that usually comes with some pain as she engages in trigger point therapy. Breathe it out and communicate. She knows when to release a muscle safely, but you need to know your own pain threshold. Secondly, Tricia lives with seeing and hearing impairements. When you meet her, speak loudly, clearly and be straightforward. With her permission, guide her hands to your issues on your body. Be collaborative & proactive. Tricia's service dog, Elvis, is a sweet black lab that sleeps in a cage in the corner of her treatment room. He will look up when you enter and occasionally drinks water or re-adjusts his position. Otherwise, he is very quiet. I would also recommend that you take initiative in adjusting yourself on the table before beginning. Let Tricia know what you need. For example, sometimes I find the head rest too low and because of gravity, my sinuses feel pressure. I ask Tricia to adjust the headrest for me. She is kind, professional and helpful.I hope you have a wonderful experience with Tricia; I wish there were more trained RMTs like her.“
