“I thought my $1,200 Acer Predator Helios laptop was destined for the trash heap. Only 4 years old... what a shame. I brought it into Geek Squad and they gave me a quote of $1,054 to install a new motherboard. I was told it was a corrupted bios, however, they don't do microsoldering and could only replace the entire motherboard. I was now on a mission to find someone here in Tucson that had the skill level to remove a motherboard and microsolder a new, preprogrammed Bios Chip onto the board (the chips are only $22 from the Bios Store on ebay). After two weeks of calling around, I happened upon Joel on Thumbtack and my paper weight of a laptop was humming again. This was a next level repair and only someone very skilled can even attempt to deal with these tiny chips. I highly recommend Joel and Ljjm Tech.“

The owner not only fixed the driver but put in a upgraded hard-drive which was sorely needed. All done when he said it would be and at less cost than the original quote. Yes, he knows that it is ancient, that it isn't made anymore. That's not my problem. I love these little Palms. I have all of my information in them, and when mine stopped working, it changed my world. All of my passwords are in my Palm; my addresses, my phone numbers. I don't know when anyone was born without my Palm. So, Brandon has a game plan of how he will approach mending my Palm and restoring my information. I do believe he is going to be able to do this! At least he listened, he didn't hang up, or laugh at me, and he has some great ideas about how he's going to proceed. Next step, appointment!!!“
