“We moved from California to Arizona about 6 weeks ago. We have a 19 month old German Shepherd from a working line. We had done training with Lexi in California with a couple different trainers and training methods. We know she is adorable, exuberant, loving, has a bit of stranger danger but can be a beautiful handful!! We knew we needed to find the right person to train with but how to find someone... Enter Shawn....we were at the Arabian Horse Show and met Shawn and the Belgian Malinois, Jarvis, he's been training. How impressive were they????? Wowie! In between all the people stopping and chatting with them, I was able to learn a bit about Shawn's perspective on training. I liked him and everything he told me. I went back another day just because I wanted more!!! I knew after talking with him the second day, he was the one I wanted to train with. We scheduled an assessment and have just finished 3 one-on-one training sessions with Shawn. The day of our assessment and the first day of training Lexi barked at him, was very unsure and probably didn't want to be there. By yesterday, our third day, she was so excited when we got there, made herself absolutely 100% at home, was happy and excited to see Shawn and work. Shawn...I am learning "coping" vs "training" and was "coping" as she was exploring everything, relocating things, etc. I love watching how quickly she is progressing and enjoying her job training. I just hope I can keep up with her--lol!! Shawn is very respectful of Lexi and of us as well. One of the many things I like is that he explains the "why" not just the "how to" of ways we train. I can see that everything he teaches us has a purpose and makes perfect sense. I love the pyramids. We look forward to continuing all our training and making Lexi be the best that she can be! My 2 "aha" moments from yesterday... NO now has a real meaning Training isn't just a couple 15 minute sessions a day. Every interaction throughout the day with Lexi is an opportunity for training. Thanks for everything Shawn and TopDogAZ!!!“

“Tempe Lake provided a headache-free experience through and through. From making the appointment, checking in, initial examination and follow up Tempe lake's staff were professional, clear and kind. Even our cat (Naia), who is usually extra stressed at and after vet visits, was quick to warm up to them and return to her usual antics when we got home after the exam and treatment!

Comparing with other clinics, even their treatment plans and pricing were meaningfully less difficult and expensive. As our kitty is getting older, we expect her needs will be growing in time, but we are less concerned with being able to afford to get her the care she needs thanks to Tempe Lake.“
