Carlyn cut my buddies hair and beard as well as my hair. She took great attention to detail as well a decent chat whilst she completed her job. A definite recommend for those with all hair and beard types!

I was lucky in that I showed up just before other clients did, and it was phenomenal. Carlyn has been doing this for 26 years now and knows far more than any other stylist or barber I've been to in my short years. She took my inept description of what I wanted and turned it into a fantastic haircut. It's cash- and walk-in-only, but I think I'll stick with it. ;)

I visited Carlyn's Barber Shop solely based on the Yelp reviews. I'm glad I did! I've had a pretty busy schedule lately, and just simply haven't had time for a haircut. I felt like I had hippie hair, so I had to do something! Carlyn runs a one-chair shop in a nice little courtyard right off Mill St. I was lucky. When I arrived, there wasn't a wait (apparently there usually is). I'm really happy with the cut she gave me, and some might consider me "picky" when it comes to my hair. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. As it is, I'll have to visit next time I'm in town.
