“Brian came out to our house to check our heat pump when our regular company, of which we are customers, wouldn't come over the weekend. Our daughter had just come home from the hospital recently, and we needed the system to work. Comes to find out, our system had NOT been maintenance regularly every 6 months, as we were paying another company to do. He thoroughly cleaned it and unstopped the drainage, coils, etc. No parts were even needed! Works amazingly well now!! Philpott has a new customer, and he even gave us a military discount! “Mr. Willie came out several times to ensure we definitely needed a new HVAC system. He had to look at the unit when it was in a frozen state which is usually late in the evening early morning hours. He thoroughly reviewed the entire system and ultimately we went with a new HVAC. Very professional. Just Nice folks to do business with. Another (nonlocal) vendor wanted tens of thousands of dollars. They talked a real good game but WAY out of our price range . Going with B + W was a journey. Our knowledge wasn’t learned overnight.The vendor we started with was local, Four Seasons in Lanett Alabama. Started Trying to troubleshoot with them a year ago. Paid the service call and part fee to have the issue fixed. The repair man was rude and condescending but we were cold so we trusted that he was troubleshooting and installing and fixing the issue. We couldn’t tell if the issue was fixed until it got really cold outside again and we were freezing in our house. Needless to say it wasn’t fixed. We noticed it right at the end of the season last year and called several times to mitigate. They never returned our calls for follow up last year. It got warm and we were no longer freezing so we gave up for that year. When this season came around we contacted Four Seasons again. The same employee again. His demeanor hadn’t changed : Rude, condescending and no he wasn’t able to get any accurate information on what was wrong with the unit. Actually gave us false information regarding what it would take for him to see if there was a leak in the unit. “ it would take me hours to take this apart and go down into the unit and see if it was leaking it would cost just as much as replacing the unit. And I’m NOT doing it today.” It’s a real shame when a company who has a fantastic receptionist and other service technicians that have come out for annual checks a couple times are super nice and you get one bad apple… And lose a customer for life.Mr. Willie didn’t have any problems looking at it and confirming there wasn’t a leak. It took him 1.75 hours to re-tape up some loose insulation and inspect the unit from top to bottom. Installation looks great and thank goodness our power bill is now affordable.
