Wont let you exchange a new in box Large Milwaukee heated coat for a Medium one without receipt or gift receip. Manager Brooke did say I could exchange the large for another large. What? if the first large was too big, why would I want another just like it? Brooke soundEd as dumb as their policy trying to explain why I could only exchange a large for a large and not a large for a medium. As usual, Home Depot's customer service sucks, but rest assure, you can walk in at any time and find 10 associates standing around talking to each other and looking at their phones.
I ordered a Samsung washer/dryer set from the Gillette, WY Home Depot on 7/3/2018. I was told at the time that they would be delivered in 7-14 days. On day 14 I called to check on my order status, only to have the store act inconvenienced when I wanted an update on my washer and dryer (when I've been without them for three weeks at this point and using a laundromat for our five kid family.) I was told that they would see if my things were on the truck when it came in and I could call that afternoon. I finally called back and talked to the store manager, who told me that while it generally takes 7-14 days to deliver, it can take up to 45 days, which NO ONE mentioned to us when taking our money. I told the store manager that I had been told 7-14 days, and he said that even if it were delivered today, it could be several days before it is delivered to my home. However, he took my name, number and order number and said that he'd try to look it up later. I was called back an hour later by the same associate who helped me the first time, who was pissed off that she was calling me back, and stated that it would be another week before my W/D would even be in the local store. When I attempted to express my frustration to her in order to try to find a solution, she said to me, "Don't bother wasting your breath complaining to me, it's not going to do you any good." I finally had to hang up. I called the corporate number, who was also less than concerned with it, who told me that it would be a 7/24/18 delivery most likely and then deliver days after that. Surprisingly, I got a call yesterday from the local HD store that my W/D actually HAD come in the day before and they could try to deliver it by about Saturday. My husband decided we needed it before that, so when he got off nights this morning, before going to bed, he went and picked them up and installed them. THE DRYER DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. AT ALL. I had to call the appliance line, who told me that they will put in an order for an appliance company to call me within the next day or two, but it could be up to TWO WEEKS BEFORE I CAN USE MY BRAND NEW APPLIANCES!!!!!!!!! My husband and I just bought a home that we are in the process of renovating. Needless to say, HD likely won't be getting any of the $100,000 in money we are going to be putting in this house!
After my husband and I remodeled our house, I will not set foot on Home Depot property again. We made the horrible mistake of buying our carpet (among other thousands of dollars in materials) for our entire house here. Once the credit card was swiped, we were sitting ducks. Nothing we were promised prior to the sale was followed through on. Installers didn't show up on the day of the appointment, when they did show up a week later they had inferior padding to what we purchased so they had to leave and get the correct padding, installers left for 2+ hours in the middle of the install, finally returned and then claimed they didn't have enough carpet to finish the job as it was 'mis-measured' so they had to leave. (Found out later that was a blatant lie). Used a HATCHET during the installation and scuffed, scratched and scraped all the walls. The lines between carpet and linoleum were anything but straight. Seams were left un-sealed. Couldn't even get a business card from the installers - did get a phone number but trying to call them "no voicemail has been setup". Trying to deal with Home Depot and their sub-contractors (HOM Solutions) were nothing but HELL. They are pro's at talking around you, have a knack at blaming YOU for their horrible customer service. Employees even pulled us off to the side and expressed how crappy the store procedures are and how sorry they are for what we were going through. We ended up hiring an independent carpet installer from another town to come finish and repair the horrid carpet installation. Go anywhere else....anywhere!!!
